Hi,my name is Shane,I recently lost my employment opportunities and am seeking re-employment.My C.V reads pretty well.I am a Brownlow medallist, only 5 years ago in fact.About 4 years ago I was the sweetheart pin-up boy at a club that has struggled on the field for some years,(I have played in a few finals though).I decided to leave the club I loved for so many years, chasing that illusive premiership,I jumped on board a sinking ship, they had been flying up until 18 months ago, sadly I missed the boat.Last year I found myself struggling to get into a struggling unit, next thing I know I am using a street directory to find the oval I am playing at,most of the grounds I played at before had buses going straight to the gate, some of the places I played at last year didn't even know what a bus was.

So,here is my pledge,I am willing to play for your club for the minimum wage,I will train hard, look fit and blonde, heck,I'll try my best to get a kick,so,please, please, some one give me chance.

You can contact my managment at http://www.desperateaflhasbeen.net

Thankyou for your time.

regards,

Shane.X.

Ouch! Woey has struggled of late, that is well known. What is not so well known is that he busted a gut when he went down to Willy last year and also has hardly missed a game through injury for the last three years. I woldn't want him at Geelong as I don't think he is the type of player we need but I reckon he would provide more value than say, a Scott Camporole or Chris Heffernen. 5hit, if the guy played for Hawthorn he'd be at the Kangaroos already.

At a potential salary for $52k per year for 3 years, I'd love to have him at Richmond. If it doesn't work out, then we've failed, but only 1 rookie has missed a spot on the list...we're still in the market for 3 others and history suggests in the past 4-5 years, only 2 RFC rookies have been promoted from rookie list to senior list hence the chances of a rookie having success is unlikely anyway.

Woey is worth a punt...he oozes class...and with the right coach he'll do well...

Well since he is prepared to play for that amount of money, perhaps its worth a punt. I proabably wouldnt want him in my team, but then again i might be wrong and he might just prove to be quite useful in some teams.

Turns out he didn't get picked up...I think this is a waste of a career with so much still to offer but that's the nature of footy.

He's welcome to come to Glenelg.

Isn't he Captain and assistant coach or something like that?
