Luke Darcy has done his knee

Postby Rik E Boy » Wed Dec 21, 2005 2:41 pm

The Bulldogs ruckman Luke Darcy has reinjured his troublesome knee and will be out for the entire 2006 season. Shocking luck for the Doggies. Maybe he should ring up Shaun Rehn for a bit of support. Darcy will be 32 at the beginning of next season with 2 recons behind so it might be tough getting a gig ahead of Street and Minson.

First Primus, now Darcy...

The moral of the story: don't appoint ruckmen captain.

Might not be hard to get a game as a KPP forward though if Minson and/or Street are carrying the ruck OK. Grant will probably finish after 2006 and the rest of them are youngsters. He could work out of the square and pose a problem or two for opposition defences.

A tragedy,in a footy sense. The bloke gets stuck loving a club that was never a chance of achieving the ultimate goal, and then towards the end of his career as the club starts to go up the ladder, and success seems within their reach,he gets struck down by two in a year.Nothing but sympathy for the man.
PAFC. Forever.
