REB's Rubbish Round Five

19 Winners for the year and still unable to crack six wins in a round DOH. Beware dear readers that I have not successfully selected the winner in an Essendon or St Kilda match all season!
Essendon should be able to get over the top of Collingwood in today's overhyped ANZAC Day clash. If you believe some of the suits down at AFL house ANZAC Day was invented by these two clubs and is their version of the Grand Final since they no longer actually appear in the real thing anymore. Selecting this one is tough even if you can work out which Essendon side is going to turn up for the day. The Bombers will go in without Leroy Jetta who has added some pace to the Bombers but more importantly, Essendon will be minus their ruckman David Hille. The Bombers have brought in tall timber in the form of Bolton and Unco Bradley to cover the loss of Hille. The Pies will welcome back former Port goalsneak Alan Didak and ex-Carlton dud Chris Byran. Neiither side look strong in the ruck here and for me the key to this game is that last week Essendon played under cover at the Domea55 while the Pies had to slog it out in the wet against the Power. I think that there are plenty of sore bodies on both sides and that this game will slow down to a crawl by about half way through the third quarter. Essendon are travelling better and have a lot more options in attack and should win the Controversy Cup this year by 21 points.
More rubbish to follow.
