a funny thing happened at globe derby last friday night

a person asked the bar staff to call a taxi which they promptly did, the taxi coming from the city end drove past the first road that turns into gdp & entered into daniel avenue (northern end), he gets to the entrance (''welcome to globe derby'') (or whatever it actually says) & instead of following the road around to the carpark & into the complex itself the driver turned left (i presume seeing it was lit up) & headed towards the backtrack & went through the open gate (which is for the water truck etc) & was about halfway around on the actual racing circuit when track staff waved him down (i'm sure he thought this is his fare), when he got told to get off the track & to go where he should've gone & in doing so he ended up doing a full lap of the circuit...........i think it is hilarious

Seeing the taxi on the track would've been pretty amusing tho, was there anyone else on track apart from you to see it?
