Christmas Punts

Postby PerceThePunter » Wed Dec 20, 2006 9:27 pm

G'day folks,

Thought it was time to log in a couple of punts to boost the Xmas bank a bit!

Will combine some NBA and Ice Hockey on this first one for tomorrow: Milwalkee ($1.65)/New Jersey ($1.67)/LA Clippers ($1.25)/Dallas ($1.38 -/ (All NBA) into Nashville ($1.75) and Anaheim ($1.45) at $12.21 - $5 to win $61.05. Will take the same lot, except changing Nashville for Chicago in the hockey leg at $2.00 to make it a $13.85 for a $69.25 return for the $5 investment.

After investing that $10, will take $5 on two separate punts in the 4th Test: Warne's 700th wicket - Paul Collingwood at $8 (return $40) and Monty Panessar at $13 (return $65) - am working on the assumption with that last one that the quicks will tidy things up fairly quickly there.

Will lay a $5 on an EPL multi over the weekend: Fulham to beat West Ham at $2.10/Arsenal over Blackburn at $1.30 (this is a gift, whichever way you look at it)/Middlesborough to beat Charlton at $1.85 (ditto for a gift)/draw in Man City v Bolton at $3.15/Chelsea to beat Wigan at $1.40 - total odds: $22.28 for a $111.40 return. Will take the $5 on a draw in Man U/Aston Villa at the $3.55 on offer (return $17.75). Man U not travelling brilliantly of late, and Aston can clutter up the forward half enough to pinch split points in this one.

To give a long range punt - will throw in $5 each way on Lassie McTavish in the Magic Millions at the $101 on offer. Thought she got run off her feet early last week, but worked home stylishly to finish not too far from the placegetters. There looks a lot of improvement in the filly, and think she is well worth a little look at those odds.

Make it the round $50 with a Multi on the Interdominion finals for pacers at trotters - Flashing Red at $3.80 in the pacers and A Touch of Flair in the trotters at $2.50 at the $9.50 on offer - $10 invested to win $95.. These odds are luxury and jump on while they still last. Nothing will get past ATOF in the trotters, and only a bad draw in the final will stop F.R.

Total outlay: $50. Best of luck, folks and happy Christmas to all!

With the Clippers, beaten on literally a last second shot - Toronto had a shot with one second to go to win the match by 2pts, therefore missing the chance for overtime. Bah!! Ah well, that's punting!

Have decided to try once again on the NBA multi (the worst part about that above multi is that, at the last minute, I tried a team with points in or out, total game score multi also - got the first three legs correctly in the Milwalkee/Dallas/New Jersey games, and the Clippers game threw me out - would have been a return of $117 per $1 unit. Double ouch!!).

Today, will try and go a little wider: Detroit +3.5/total game score of +181.5 into Washington +3.5/total game score of -211.5: return of $10.18 per $1 unit.

Will also take a NHL/NFL multi: Boston/Atlanta/Montreal/Nashville (all NHL - all including OT)/Green Bay(NFL) - return of $8.84 per $1 unit.

Taking a roughies NBA/NHL multi: Detroit/Washington/Phoenix/Dallas: return of $31.21 per $1 unit. Pondering whether to throw in Cairns in the NBL tonight to boost it to $41.51.

Be curious to hear the thoughts of some of the experts on these ones (Dutchy - if only I had seen your post about the Clippers BEFORE placing those multis!!! I would have paid heed to that. Oh well - that's punting!)

PERCE

with your multi's i suggest you get a centrebet account and take up the boxed multi option. its good if you are a punter who always seems to get 4/5 or 3/4 you know the old story when its one team that always costs you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perce - refer my other threads

I like DET +3.5 (last leg of my double up so need this one to get up!) CLE arent consistent enough and rely on LBJ too much. I think this might be a real low scoring affair but could creep above 181.5 but I like the $2.46 on offer that it doesnt. Also have a lean to SAC -3.5 but could go either way

time will tell

well I was right on all of the above except the SAC lean, but it was a lean only and not a bet!

Will also take a NHL/NFL multi: Boston :) /Atlanta :) /Montreal :) /Nashville :( (all NHL - all including OT)/Green Bay(NFL) :) - return of $8.84 per $1 unit. (Nashville didn't back up from the night before)

Taking a roughies NBA/NHL multi: Detroit :) /Washington :) /Phoenix :( /Dallas :) : return of $31.21 per $1 unit. Pondering whether to throw in Cairns :) in the NBL tonight to boost it to $41.51. (Phoenix conceded a goal inside the last minute - those last minutes are hurting

I saw about these boxed multis - can you explain more, Dutchy? As you can see, getting closer each time, but just missing one.

For today, took a super 8 NBA game multi: Utah/Golden State/LA Lakers/Chicago/Indiana/Boston/Milwalkee/Toronto - at the odds of $178.27, it is speculative at very best.
Also: points in/game score:
Boston -1.5 - over 189.5/New Orleans -3.5 - +179.5/San Antonio -8.5 +181.5/Dallas -9.5 +189.5. Again, absolute speculation at $162.82. However, given I am only risking $2 per multi (due to the odds), not a lot lost.
