inter to stay

Postby bayman » Sun Jan 14, 2007 11:37 am

it has been voted on by people that no better than me & the inter fomat will have the same format & stay the same as it has always been !!! (except that debacle in melbourne) for the next 3 years, also there will be no split series in the future & clubs will bid for the series rather than take it in turn
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Your spot on Bayman - the inters will go to the bidding style after 2012 (the last roster round)

However the series will be conducted in 2008 in Melb, 2009 in Syd, 2010 in Bris under the same conditions.. in March and under the Heats / Semis / Final situation is my understanding of the press release..

Anyone interested in it - can go to

Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

thats true that the format will stay the same for the next few years, which is interesting because in september they wanted to change the format ASAP. a bit of a backflip by the administrators.

in 2011 it all changes and the best ranked horses go through to the semi's while the others have to qualify by running in races leading upto the series.

so why change the series to allow the best horses to go straight through to the semi's??? and only have to race once before the final????

FORMAT = joke=4 runs in 2 weeks.
Whats wrong with 4 runs in 3 weeks 1 week apart.
Instead of the Iron horse CUP.

The equivalent to the current format would be :

Test cricket played over 7 days.
AFL footy played for 5 quarters.
Baseball played in 16 innings.
Soccer played over 180 minutes.

Nearly every horse races once a week in thier preperations,
until the Interslaughterironhorsemurderdominion happens.

The stupendous mv/gdp series robbed the public of the race being run to potential.
FLASHING RED dehydated
ROBIN HOOD injured
BE GOOD JOHNNY races best fresh

It left 2 horses left WINFORU + BLACKS A FAKE the rest is history.

test cricket (used to have timeless tests !!)
afl footy (they shortened the game from 25 to 20 minutes  )
baseball & soccer (i dont know)

but who is going to pay an extra weeks accomodation if you have the series over 3 weeks ? if i get a horse good enough mal i'll bring you with me & you can pay for the accomodation for me (seperate rooms)

BAYMAN its when you change the format midstream that counts
If they played footy for 5,765,987,543,098,761 quarters a day as long
its played that way for 22 games thats fine
Its when you play 20 games for 4 quarters and play 5,765,987,098,761 quarters
for 2 games is the scenario I am presenting.

The horses race once a week for 50 weeks
and then have to race twice a week for 2 weeks.
Thats bull...t.

If they were racing for norMAL stakemoney they would never race 4 times in 2 weeks :!:

change of format midstream that counts (i read in your first line)

sheffield shield/pura cup cricket,
first up whoever finished top got the trophy, then the first change we had a grand final playoff, then the 3rd change it (grand final) went from A 4 DAY GAME TO A 5 DAY GRAND FINAL

Interdominion compared to AFL football
would be
play once a week all year
then play twice a week in finals
If they did that in footy imagine the critiscism
