GDP SAT & MON

Postby bayman » Sat Feb 17, 2007 12:46 pm

gdp sat,

r1 no 1 leader & winner is a moral (rated 1/4), i like the 1.80 i heard on both trotting shows, 2 may be able to pop in behind the 1 at odds & run 2nd with 8,9,10 all place hopes
r2 no 1 leader & probable winner main danger is 3 & with multi hopes to 2,5,7,8
r3 no 8 should win but be wary of mares on a hot day, main dangers 4,10 with 5,7,9 next best
r4 heaps of chances & as jimmy jacques said it is a field job for the treble if any value i could be on 1 or 2 e/w
r5 chances 2,4,5,7,8 & despite the driver i'd be on 2 e/w if you can get around 8/1
r6 chances 1,4,6,8,11 & a rough hope to 5 who went ok last start the top two 1,4
r7 new trainer & more importantly new driver gives the nod to 3 (i told you the claim at $3,000.00 was a good buy, but mal wouldn't let me the extra i needed to buy it all he had to do was lend me $2,900.00   ) other hopes 5,6,7,8
r8 6,9 on top from 3,4 with 8 next best who has improved but scd can tell us more he is closely associated to the trainer
r9 all the experts dont like this race but i do i believe that 9 is an e/w special next best 2,4,5,7

suggested bet(s)
allup
r1 no 1 win
r2 no 1 win
the winnings on
r3 no 8 win (only the heat can beat her, regarding whether she has her mind on other things)
r9 no 9 e/w
betfair lay
r6 no 10 (gallops way too often)

treble 1/8/f & for less units 1,3/8,10/f

gdp monday,
r1 top two 1,8 from 2,3,4,7
r2 heaps of hopes 2,8,9,10,11,12
r3 7,8,9 on top from 4,6 with a ? on 1 (as i dont know it)
r4 top two 9,10 with multi hopes to 2,4,5,7,8
r5 chances 1,2,5,6,8 top two 1,2 the 2 is a place special again
r6 chances 1,5,7,8,9,11
r7 likely leader & winner the 1 from 3,7,8 with a ? on 5 (former vic & dont know it but form is ordinary)
r8 i have 2 on top from 7,8,9 then 4,5
r9 mals horse 7 a good thing from the main danger 8 then 1,2,3,5,9,10

suggested bet(s)
r5 no 2 place
r7 no 1 win
r9 no 7 win

betfair lay
r4 no 3 (it had every possible chance last week & couldn't win & i cant see it winning this either)

good luck on the punt & try to keep coooooooooooooooooooooollll :drinkers: :drinkers:

SCD Preview

Postby SCD » Sun Feb 18, 2007 8:44 pm

R1 - I think 1 to lead and almost be a moral from 2,3,5,7,8 (especially 8)
R2 - 2,8,10,11,12 in a lottery
R3 - 4,8,9 from 3,6,7 and 2 is an ANT who shouldn't be racing - MAL - we should lobby for this horse to be retired...
R4 - 3,7,9,10 on top for the top chances
R5 - 1 will lead and is a good hope along with 5 and 8.. place chances to 2,4,7 (not sure the 2 is a place special though)
R6 - 1,3,4,5,11 the chances in an open race
R7 - 1 and 7 the good chances from 5,6,8
R8 - 2,7,9 from 1,5,8 in another open and hard race
R9 - 2,3,8,9 the winning chances from 1,7,10

Suggested Bets
R1 - 1 w
R5 - 8 e/w
R7 - 1 place special
R9 - 2 place special

Betfair bets
R1 - 8 (can't beat the 1)
R3 - 2 (WILL NEVER win a race)
R4 - 2 (look at the driver, say no more)
R5 - 2 can place - can't win today

changes the race

Postby bayman » Mon Feb 19, 2007 6:28 pm

in the last with the late scratching of the pole then made the doc almost a certainty so i hope you all took that into account, fortuneately i had the 7 place in my allup, but i wasn't happy being on a horse that was 3 back rather than behind the leader, thats the problem with doing these previews early, because as we all know barrier draws are crucial

In that last race number 1 the leader LUCKYS LAMP was scratched.
There was an expectation that the [7] URJOKIN was to follow through
and obtain 3rd on the pegs and a very big chance.
I was going to declare URAJOKIN [my pet] as an EW LATE MAL.
BAYMAN unfortunately you declared it as a win bet before the scratching.
The [2] DOCTOR DILLINGER was now a good thing to lead early+ hand up as per usual.
DD then handed up and put URAJKIN 5th on the fence and out of the race.

Thats why whenever anyone tips before a late scatching we should be wary.

SCD SUMMARY
3 OUT OF 4 COLLECTS another winning day

i have a query for the trotting gurus.

I have dropped off my interest in harness racing over the last year because it doesnt interest me much anymore.

CHESS RAIDER - MAL mentioned it raced both sat night and monday and he mentioned it eased back to the tail of the field given a soft run on sat night, butters up monday and pings/wins.

im assuming that the race on sat night was harder then yesterday, so im thinking that the trainer/owner/driver (could be the same bloke) gave it a quiet run sat night possibly layed it on betfair and then cleaned up yesterday in the easier race.

I'm struggling to see what your query is there MT??

In saying that - I noticed with $1,000 in the pool early yesterday on S-Tab the horse was $1.04.. someone liked it to win yesterday and made a nice little profit...

in my way of thinking, and not having had a bet on trots for a while or follow the form, sat night races would be harder then a monday arvo.

Chess Raiders chances on sat night of winning may not have been as good as winning on monday so they decided to give Chess Raider a soft run sat night and go for the cash on monday.

You would be around the mark.. there are a couple of issues..

Monday's are not easier then Saturdays in the lower classes as all the good horses want to win their $2000 race before losing their $4000 front... when you get to the R6 or C6 or better - where the fronts don't matter in SA - it's here where the Saturday's are stronger and Monday's are weaker...

On Saturday Chess Raider drew barrier 5 over 1800m (C6 or beter) and was taken back to last (I know what Bayman and MAL were told about it going forward)... On Monday is a weaker stand race - it drew barrier 1 (R6 or better).. why would you butcher your horse on Saturday from a bad barrier draw and with a chance of being re-handicaped in a winnable race Monday?? Yes these quiet runs happen and that could have been seen by the $1000 on Chess Raider on S-Tab hours before the race.

attention scd

Postby bayman » Tue Feb 20, 2007 6:44 pm

now i dont want this to seem like i'm having a go scd but i was wondering why you have taken a stance against sir storm or fred posgate ? , i understand why you didn't like it on the saturday but yesterday how could you not like it as it was always going to get a nice trail behind the 2 favourites so i ask is this something personel or have you just underated the horse ??

I don't take things personally.. but I've heard a power station next to my old house has blown up in Adelaide.. so obviously Punk hasn't realised i've moved... lucky for me I have...

I don't like F Posgate - Bell lap - hears the siren and comes 3 wide.. I thought he had hit his mark where he couldn't do that anymore.. I thought he would be 3 wide at the bell on Monday and struggling when they put the pressure on 600m out.. I didn't think he would be 1 by 1 until 100m from home... The driver is a clown, so I just give him a miss now he's just about on his mark..

SIR STORM is racing well from inside draws.
I didnt think it could miss aplace in a 8 horse field as 3 of them were cats.
It had to run 1-2-3-4 in that race.
To risk it to win ????
there are better risks going around.
