melb 1.60
st k 2.20 No Bet unless Saints dirft and you get a couple of goals in

c'wd 1.50
kang 2.40 Kangas could be worth a punt here, even under Laidley we have been good early in the year

freo 1.25
port 3.55 Probably a no bet as the line will be a bit too much (30?)

bris 1.68
haw 2.05 Maybe Brisbane if Bradshaw is back
syd 1.72
wce 2.00 No bet

adel 1.30
ess 3.20 Essendon at the points might be a reasonable bet

w'bull 1.72
geel 2.00 Bullies look good here
carl 1.65
rich 2.10 No bet

my thoughts (early) above...lots of No bets as it will be a lot of viewing and note taking on these teams, serious betting wotn occur until after Round 3 for me...

Over the past few seasons Ive found that Rounds 5 to 15 are the money rounds where the form holds up as the teams sort themselves out...betting early or late in the season is very tough...Ill be having a punt but on the small scale early...

Dont like to say it, but I think Dutchy is spot on here. Betting early in the season, especially with odd such as these is just not a good idea. This is where the bookies build the bank for the middle of the year.
Best bet from these odd in my opinion is the Dogs @$1.72
