JOKEbank Bookies

Postby jackpot jim » Tue Apr 10, 2007 12:10 am

Went to Oakbank today 4 1st time in 10 years and found old men in suits still there masquerading as Bookmakers.
as i walked through the Flat area, i couldn't believe my eyes when i spotted a bookies stand with the name Max Choate on it.
I last saw his stand at the trots years ago Displaying 200% markets so i decided to check his odds outs. AMAZING! Race 1 No 2
Silent Sophia $2.00. Other Bookies $3.50 - $3.80. Tote $4.00 FFS What a JOKE. These blokes r an EMBARRASSMENT to the whole industry.
I then spent the rest of the day in the Grandstand Betting Ring and who was there amongst the BIG BOYS. U Guessed it, R.W. SYMONDS. FFS.
After Disgracing the Bookmaking Fraternity at the Trots during the Interdominion Carnival he Appears at Oakbank to pick pocket once a year punting mugs. E.G.

R.W. Sym Others Tote

R2 No 1 $2.80 $5.00 $5.10 3rd

R3 No 2 $2.40 $3.50 $4.40 unp

R4 No 2 $2.20 $5.00 $4.60 2nd

R5 No 1 $1.80 $1.60 $1.80 2nd Unbelievable, when he made a mistake and put up better odds and held a few bets, the Fav
Lost and he cleaned up. What a JOKE. Theres just no Justice.

Special Accolade for Jim Easom for being Generous enough for Betting $8.00 about BLASE in the G.E. Steeple. It was much appreciated. As for the rest of the Thiefs there, They can get stuffed. They dont deserve the support of the punting public, but as long as their are Piss Head Mug Punters around, they will survive a little longer.

Good to catch up with BAYMAN on course to discuss how we would fix the Racing game but thats a story 4 another Day.

Whats the problem? I can understand if there is only one bookie but this isnt the case at Oakbank, you have plenty to choose from, If he wants to put up 1000% markets he has every right too, but shouldnt get any business...the mugs are the ones who bet with him...Oakbank is one of the few places where there is adequate competition for the benefit of punters I would have thought...

Agreed Dutchy - if you don't like his odds, bet elsewhere. the jokes are the mug punters who take those odds because they know no better (or are too intoxicated to know better).

same situation at the great Clare races on Saturday.
6 bookies with "oh so great odds"
didnt matter as they had tote on the locals and inter. and some huge overs and i did a sadie and cleaned up.
this was very hard sometimes to concentrate due to the wonderful scenry on the track, i,ve never seen so many stunning girls in one place .
a nice happy crowd of about 4000 a huge day . going next year
all should try it.
