gawler, always remember this is a front runners track,

r1 main hopes 2,5,7 with next best 8,9,10
r2 4 an e/w special (if you can get e/w odds) from 1,5,6,7
r3 5 on top & should win from 2,4,7 with next best 10
r4 5,7,8 with next best 9
r5 1 should lead & win (rated 4/6) from 3,7 with 8,9 next best
r6 2,3,4 on top from 5,6,9 i like 2 e/w as i cant see it missing money
r7 chances in an ordinary race are 1,2,4,5,9 if forced to have a bet it'd be 1 a place
r8 2 on top it trialled very very well & should win this from 8,10

suggested bet(s)
r2 no 4 e/w this horse is ready to win & this looks his race
r3 no 5 should win this
r5 no 1 likely leader & winner

betfair lay
r4 no 9 not from this draw with this driver admittingly it could be placed though

good luck on the punt, i'll have a couple of bets & go to norwood oval & i'll see you there mal

Bayman.... I hear a lot about Leaders tracks, Can u tell me of any that you Know of that actually DISADVANTAGE Leaders.
Not having a crack at you, its just that all tracks seem to be leader friendly, just some more than others.

the tighter/smaller the track, the easier it is to lead or be near the lead and win, and unless the speed is 'breakneck' which would be the case on any track, horses at the back can't make up the ground on tight circuits coming home out very wide

Bayman - let me help you here, because there are 3 tracks that aren't "leaders tracks" where they can come from just about anywhere and in my opinion with these 3 you are better off not being in front most of the time..

Port Pirie... - This is a great fair track, where 7/10 times the best horse wins.. (the other 3 times are poor drives up there)
Maryborugh - big sweeping home turn, plenty of camber - they can really fly off the corner turning for home..
Geelong - I'll back a run on horse there over a leader anyday..

Another track i've heard about JJ that suits the backmarkers is a non-tab track, unfortunately I haven't seen it - so can't really make comment, but I think Rocklea is best suited to the swoopers..
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

SCD..... Are You joking about about Rocklea?????
It must be the Smallest track in Australia!!!!!!

With a circumfrence of only 570 metres and a straight of 70 metres it would be surprising that any horses would come from behind

Bayman, either you or I are going to have a good night tonight.. I'm not having many bets - but think there may be value to be had tonight..

R1 - 2,7,10 on top from 1,5,8,9
R2 - I don't like the 4 except for a place (too hard drawn out there for this horse) - I actually like 9 e/w from 1,4,5,6,10
R3 - 2 e/w special from 4,5,6,7 (think the 4 will lead and park the 5?? - Mal.. bayman.. any thoughts??)
R4 - 1 place special and a winning hope along with 7,8,9
R5 - 4/6 - for the 1.. I wouldn't back it under $3 on it's last run.. think 3,7,8 are all better hopes then 1....
R6 - 2,4 clearly on top - anchor them with the place hopes being 1,3,5,7,8,9
R7 - 1,3,6,10 the main ones in a terrible race.. 3 should just about lead and go close..
R8 - 2 should be a good thing from 1,4,7,8,9,10 (4 can go ok on it's night and has trialled ok (good trial for this class of race...) - so it's a good place hope at huge odds)

Suggested Bets
R2 - 9 e/w
R3 - 2 e/w
R4 - 1 p
R8 - 2 w if not too short

Betfair Selections
R3 - 5 (anything shorter then $1.50 - $1.60)
R4 - 10 (just for you G - this should be 1,000,000/1 and drifting in this race.. why bother?? )
R5 - 1 (anything shorter then $3... - especially the 6/4 on Bayman has)
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

Mal the horse in question is no star and ran home in around 58.5 for the last 1/2. Probably cant go too much better on times and no-one has mentioned that perhaps if Jock sat quietly and didnt kick away 300 out, the horse probably still would have won :?:
