With tours from The Police and Genesis packing stadiums this summer, our thoughts have turned to the next mega reunion. Here are six bands we would like to see again. In order to calculate the likeliness of these dream reunions occurring, we turned to our experts; Las Vegas odds man John Avello of The Wynn Hotel, and the singing psychic Fran Baskerville, whom some of you may have heard on the Howard Stern Show.

PINK FLOYD

Odds Man: 2 to 1 “The problem was that a lot of people think that Waters and Gilmour have this tiff going, and to be honest I don’t think they are that far apart. I think this is a reality, this is going to happen so that’s why the odds are so short.”

Singing Psychic: “It looks as though I’d say/Pink Floyd they’ll try it again/Ohh oh ya hey hey/They’ll get some new guys comin’ in.”

LED ZEPPELIN

Odds Man: 60 to 1 “To me this seems too difficult to put together. It’s not going to happen with Page, Plant and Jones, I don’t think. Maybe two of those three, but not all three of them together.”

Singing Psychic: “Well Led Zeppelin, oh oh ya/It looks as though he’s doin’ pretty good.” When asked whether Plant will still be able to hit the high notes: “No not completely but I think he can kinda cover it up with some special sounds.”

THE SMITHS

Odds Man: 75 to 1 “Morrissey just is not interested. If you want to relate this to a couple, this group is not separated, they are divorced.”

Singing Psychic: “Johnny Marr, he feels good/Johnny Marr, hey hey hey/I can see red sparks around him, with some yellow sparks comin’ in’”

THE TALKING HEADS

Odds Man: 35 to 1 “I know that David Byrne is busy doing a lot of other things. I know that they are on good terms with each other, but I don’t see it happening right now.”

Singing Psychic: “I see sparks around them/weird sparks around them/Well, Talking Heads have a way to go/I think two of them will reunite with some other people.”

PAVEMENT

Odds Man: 5 to 1 “I see this as happening maybe not this year, but in the next couple of years.”

Singing Psychic: “If they do reunite I see one song that’ll be real good for them/Kind of like fire.”

THE KINKS

Odds Man: 25 to 1 “The problem is the longer they wait, the tougher it will be. It will be just like The Beatles; some one will die. It just won’t be a reality.”

Singing Psychic: “I see them rollin’ in some money/but not quite as much. But it looks as though about 8 months down the road it’ll be good/Comin’ up with some old songs and some new songs sewed
