2007 Spring Racing Comp

After some early feedback on the comp this year.
- do we start at the end of the footy comp (Sept 8th) or fire up earlier? (last year kicked off mid August)
- do we go with a quinny or a double in the mix or leave the betting selections as they are.
- how many strikes should be allowed, I'm thinking of just the one but any thoughts will be appreciated.

Heres last years rules below, any ideas?


Spring Racing Competition 2007

RULES
The duration of the competition 15th September - 10th November 2007
This competition will CLOSE at 12 pm CST each Saturday (NO EXTENSIONS) and only messages posted underneath Spring Competition 2006 will be accepted.
Members will post selections from the GROUP Races and their Best WIN Bet and Best QUINELLA bet. As well as Own WIN Selection from any Metropolitan race Meeting in Australia.
2 x Best Bet, 1 x Best Quinella bet option must be a different race from the Nominated Races. As well as and 1 x Own selection. This will total 4 selections for each nominated day of racing for the Spring competition.
Members are to have a WIN selection for the Any Group Races Australia Wide
If your selection is scratched after you have nominated, members can resubmit ONLY prior to the 12pm deadline.
Weekly winner will be determined by the member with the highest return for the day. If there is a tie then the member with the most wins will be the winner, if there is still a tie then the member who submitted their selections earliest will be the Weekly winner
Each member's return will be determined using unitab dividends.
Winner will be member with the highest return over the Spring Competition.
To win any of the Prizes for the competition the members must have participated at least 10 weeks of the competition & not be a Sturt supporter.
The Judges decision is final.

Selections will be made clear stating the State, Race & selection.
eg.
Group Win 1- MR 6 no. 4 Tobin Bronze
Group Win 2- SR 5 no. 3 Gallillee
Group Quin- BR 8 no. 7 Angst/8 Divine Madonna
Own Bet - AR 3 no. 3 Big Bikkys

As per last year, I believe that if you don't lodge selections, you automtically lose all your unit that week.

Tend to agree Punklet.
Have slightly revamped the selection process, added a Quinny bet & scrapped the place option as 1st post edit.
Any suggestions before we kick off on Saturday morning?
