As money continues to roll in for outsider Pt Adelaide on Centrebet, the Cornes brothers have rapidly overhauled stepmum Nicole Cornes in the punters’ stakes, despite being a much longer price to win the Norm Smith Medal than she is to take the crucial SA Federal seat of Boothby!

Centrebet’s Neil Evans says punters have already lent an ear taking the Cornes options, although Chad and Kane will be banking on a smoother week than Nicole.

“The Cornes boys are the best backed on Centrebet behind Cat Gary Ablett to take Saturday’s GF best-0n-ground medal,” Evans said. “Kane ($11.00) has already attracted nearly $5,000.00 in bets, while Chad ($9.00) has about $4.500.00!”

In the battle for Boothby, Labor’s Nicole has a bit over $3,400.00 on her, and she’s firmed* from $3.85 to $2.60. Her fancied* Liberal rival Andrew Southcott has eased* from an opening* $1.25 to $1.43, but the money has dried up* a little for the wife of die-hard former Crows coach Graham Cornes!

“Nicole has been caught out this week in radio interviews knowing next to nothing about workplace policies on both sides of politics. The voters weren’t impressed, but AFL’s voters have opened their wallets on the Cornes boys,” Evans said. “Maybe they think Chad was hard done by in the Brownlow count. If Port get up, I’m tipping one of them will take the medal!”

So, Centrebet challenges SA to vote 1, 2 and 3 on their ticket for Cornes on the Cob! C’mon … “Mind you, I’ve tipped Geelong by 28, so if I lose I’ll eat Corn for a week.”

Over $60,000.00 has been traded already on the Power who have firmed from $3.50 to $3.35, while Geelong has eased from $1.31 to $1.35!
