There is a trainer who MIGHT quit by xmas time
It would be a massive loss to the industry.

DIDNT REALIZE B.GULLY WAS A TRAINER! BRILLIANT SYNDICATE MANAGER BUT NOT A TRAINER SO RULES HIM OUT.
AND DEFINITELY NOT ME AS MY TEAM IS JUST ABOUT READY TO HIT THE TRACK IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. MUST BE FRUSTRATING THOUGH FOR THE ALL THE TRAINERS TO CONTINUALY GET INJURIES TO THEIR DOGS JUST BECAUSE OF THE STATE OF THE TRACK AT ANGLE PARK.
I WILL LEAVE YOU ALL WITH SOMETHING TO PONDER OVER.
1. THE TYPE OF SAND CURRENTLY AT ANGLE PARK WHEN LOOKED AT CLOSELY ENOUGH EACH INDIVIDUAL SAND CRYSTAL IS APPROX. CIRCLE SHAPED.
2. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO RUN ON ANYTHING THAT IS A ROUND SHAPE.
3. THERE ARE CERTAIN TYPES OF SAND WHERE EACH INDIVIDUAL CRYSTAL IS HONEYCOMB SHAPED.
4.ROUND SHAPES NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO WILL NOT COMPACT TO A POINT WHERE IT IS SAFE TO RUN ON.
5.HONEYCOMB SHAPES WILL COMPACT TO A POINT WHERE IT IS AS SAFE AS PRACTICLE TO RUN ON.
6.A MAJORITY OF TISSUE INJURIES OCCUR WHEN MAXIMUM PRESSURE IS PUT ON THE MUSCLE AND AT THE SAME TIME THE FOOT SLIPS WHICH RESULTS IN TORN OR STRAINED MUSCLES/ METACARPAL STRAINS/ ETC ETC.
ANGLE PARK NEEDS TO BE TOTALLY DUG UP AND RELAID WITH A SAND THIS IS MORE SUITABLE AND NOT THE STOP GAP MEASURES THEY ARE CURRENTLY DOING EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS AND ONLY WHEN TRAINERS START KICKING UP A FUSS.
HAPPY THOUGHTS TO YOU ALL!!

If youve been in the industry for 5 minutes, how come the people who have been the industry
for years cant pinpoint the ALLEDGED track problems !

I am unhappily in Greyhound retirement as a punter
I will no doubt be back again, but only when things are sorted out
I will only have the very occasional recreational punt in the interim.

Its pretty basic really.
First you look at what sort of injuries are happening.
Then you work out what is the most common cause of these types of injuries.
EG: If its the track thats the problem then look at the type of surface used and study it a little bit closer.
I still believe that those in power actually only care about the bottom line $$$$$$$.
If they start looking after those who are putting on the show ie: The greyhounds, trainers and owners then obviously the bottom line will take care of itself.
