want to draw a good barrier ?

Postby bayman » Tue Oct 16, 2007 9:52 pm

send an email to the chief steward complaining with the stats of getting ordinary draws & although not getting a reply (not very professional) you get the dream draws all of a sudden, just like that it has happened with scd's horse its drawn 7 this week & i'm sure scd will be more than happy with that draw this week
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

I bet scd doesnt question the so called random barrier draws anymore. If he continues to get good draws maybe he or a family member has recently married someone tied to hrsa  as was quoted before in this forum that you had to be related to someone down there to get a good draw. NOW WHO DID ASK THAT QUESTION ? Take the draw when you get it and make the most of it in recent weeks which the mare has done.

They are still not Random Draws boys... My mare goes all these 4's and 5's then all of a sudden goes 7,1,7.. I'm a happy boy yes and i'm hoping she makes the most of it again in a much much tougher race on Saturday night.. (if she falls into 4th or 5th i'll be happy)

Question for you form experts...
Name the horse that has drawn the same barrier it's last 5 starts... and see if you can name the Barrier draw....

What about THE JUGGERNAUT
SCD whinges about the draws !
This unlucky horse when it raced over the 1800 used to draw the BAYMANBOGEY barrier 10 just about every week

that is because it was in claimers & being the highest (or equal) priced horse it got the worse of the draw

You're a funny boy MAL...
This wasn't in a "random" environment and he didn't draw 10 all the time, just the back row all the time...

Boys isn't it good placement by the trainers?
Putting horses in races where they can draw good is good placement!!!
I'm slippery when wet put in pref draw for mares races. Draws good cos only mare or only few in races it been in. Good Placement In my book!!!
Same with cullens hope. 3yo racing in no better than C0 or Ro but being 3yo gets 1 draw til wins enough races to become R0 or C0 cos only been coping right Handicap, 3R1, 3A1 etc.
Not the system boys its the placement by trainers!!!

I haven't kept full records of what barrier draws are what for long...
I can tell you that it's got NOT a thing to do with pref draw for mares.. they only started them 4 weeks ago anyway.. when asked to by a certain owner..... 8) 8)

I don't know about the 24/9/07 run BUT
28/9/07 - PBD / Rclass (no sex) it draws 1 and Polish the silver draws 2 out of the 6 R1 horses (r1 - r2 class)
8/10/07 - PBD / RClass (no sex) it draws 1 out of the 4 R2 horses (r2 - r3 class)
15/10/07 - PBD / RClass (no sex) it draws 1 out of the 4 "R1" horses (r1 - r2 class)
19/10/07 - PBD / RClass (no sex) it draws 1 out of the 5 "R1 horses) and Polish the silver draws 3... (r1 - r2 class)

It is the system - There is a 1 in 480 chance in it's last 4 starts of it drawing the same barrier all 4 times...

This is no coincidence.. it happens too often for it to be one..
And it is no coincidence when horses in the same class race each other each week and the same horses draw inside / outside of each other.. That is the system and has nothing with placing horses....

Cullens Hope on the other note is due to placement (3yr+ C0.... PBD / 3yr...) That is good placement, Im Slippery When Wet however....

Good research scd, its amazing how this horse draws inside polish the silver all the time these mares clash but what frustrates me is how these mares get a lift into races. I dont mind a c3 mare running in a c2 only race but the c3 mare should start from the back. If there are 9 c2 only horses and 1 c3 mare nominated then the c3 mare starts from 10.
It pees me off to see my horse nominated to find out that there are 3 or 4 mares that are going to draw in front of me in PBDSEX or c3 mares drawing say 1 and 3 in a c2 race RBD when they should draw the back.
Next time i get a horse it will be a mare. They have mares only races for lifetime earnings under 20k but none for geldind and entires. I think years ago they had races for geldings and entires only.

My far fetched theory is to back horses when they finally draw a good gate and not lay them...
Because as the "smart man" said last time...

G wrote:Geez I hope it starts short[shorter the better] because I can feel a LAY coming on.
Mind you I havent seen the field yet but its the type of nag you would rather lay than back.

So you've given out no tips and one horse to Lay that wins @ $5.60..
Tell Mal he can't tip winners.. That's a great strike rate..

I own a mare and want her to draw good..
BUT I agree with you completely... They need to make the races more equitable... The entires and geldings don't have a hope in the lower grade if they don't have a lot of ability because of programming..
Mares are the way to go, but they have to have ability - if they don't.. or need luck in racing - the barrier draws / programming won't help that much!!

SCD instead of trying to be a smart arse, what about answering the question concerning barrier draws. Your probably the type that still believes the Moon landing was done in a film studio.
Hey good luck to you for your horse winning but I suggested if it was short in the markets I would lay it, not at $7 odd oh self promoted Guru.
Naturally we all like to back horses when they draw well but it was your crying over poor barriers as if someone had it in for you that made you seem like a joke. :butthead:

PS. MAL and I are mates from way back - hence the stirring between us. :D
