the WATCHDOGS form analysis

Thursday 29th November at 9.50pm over 515 metres
First Prize: $150,000
The Watchdog's selections: 3-5-1-8

1. SLATER $3.20
Dec 2004 Surf Lorian x Wipe Out
Trainer: Darren Murray Owner: K Kola & R A Jackson
Starts: 40-24-5-1 PB this Track: 29.81
Prizemoney: $370,410
Group race honours: 2007 Group 1 National Derby, Group 1 Golden Easter Egg, Group 2 Temlee, Group 2 Shepparton Cup, Group 2 Great Chase.
Heat winning time: 29.83
The Watchdog says: Champion greyhound who displayed sizzling mid-race speed to win his heat in a slick 29.83. Has made an amazing 10 group race finals winning the Group 1 National Derby and the 2007 Golden Easter Egg over 520m at Wentworth Park along the way. Also tasted success in the Group 2 2006 Shepparton Cup and is the 430m Bendigo track record holder. Not the fastest of beginners but from his favourite draw he can drive up in a prominent position early and use his breathtaking mid-race speed to put his claims in for a third Group 1 race win.

2. ALL CAUTION (NSW) $5.50
Sep 2005 Collision x All Ages
Trainer: D N McDonald Owner: R. Camilleri
Starts: 21-10-5-2 PB this Track: 29.76
Prizemoney: $41,675
Group race honours:
Winning heat time: 29.76
The Watchdog says: Exciting young sprinter who has a similar racing pattern to Slater. Made his Sandown Park race debut two starts back with a dashing 29.84 win and kept his unbeaten record over this trip intact with a swift 29.76 heat win from this same draw. Was placed in the Group 2 Young Star Classic over 520m at Wentworth Park in July and shortly after that broke the magical 30.00 barrier there with a slashing 29.97 win. Displayed smart track sense in both of his recent wins here and he must come into calculations.

3. BYE BYE BONES $8.00
Dec 2004 Bombastic Shiraz x Georgia Brown
Trainer: D.N.McDonald Owner: Sammy Davis Syndicate.
Starts: 25-9-3-4 PB this Track: 29.73
Prizemoney: $24,085
Group race honours:
Placed heat time: 29.72
The Watchdog says: Was narrowly beaten by the brilliant Slater in his first run back from a spell over this trip here recently. Followed up from that run with a slick placing behind the speedy Tasman Queen in his heat. Does his best racing over this trip having won four of his 12 starts here which includes a slashing 29.73 pb win. Has loads of ability and if he can gain a start from an inside draw he has solid-each way claims.

4. MISS MINI MOUSE $26.00
Nov 2004 Brett Lee x Leprechaun Yap
Trainer: P.Bartolo Owner: D.M Bartolo
Starts: 37-13-8-4 PB this Track: 29.71
Prizemoney: $129,585
Group race honours: 2006 Group 2 South Australian Oaks
Heat winning time: 30.11
The Watchdog says: Was runner-up in this event last year. Usually needs to lead in her races to win but scored an uncharacteristic come from behind heat win clocking a creditable 30.11. Is not going as well as she was this time last year but this Group 2 winner has the ability to find the early lead and run a cheeky race at odds.

5. TALK’S CHEAP $7.00
Oct 2005 Spiral Nikita x Leprachaun Yap
Trainer: D.M.Bartolo Owner: D.M.Bartolo
Starts: 11-7-1-2 PB this Track: 29.68
Prizemoney: $34,475
Group race honours:
Heat winning time: 29.88
The Watchdog says: Baby of the field having just had the 11 starts for seven wins. Left greyhound enthusiasts gasping for air here two starts back when he proved too strong for the brilliant Hot To Rumble in his flying 29.68 win. Backed up from that run with a sensational 29.88 heat win after overcoming early bother. Tenacious chaser who races beyond his years and with luck in running he is a huge threat to take out the $150,000 winners purse.

6. SHANLYN PRINCE $8.00
Jan 2005 Token Prince x Shanlyn Maddie
Trainer: D.N.McDonald Owner: Token Dreams syndicate
Starts: 47-18-8-6 PB this Track: 29.62
Prizemoney: $118,215
Group race honours: Group 3 Temlee
Heat winning time: 29.80
The Watchdog says: Qualified for this race with a blistering 29.80 heat win. Remarkably he has raced at group race level in four of his past seven starts which included success in the Group 3 Temlee over 525m at The Meadows in a fast 29.87. Was runner up in the Group 2 Shoot Out over this trip here three starts back and is a winner of seven of his 11 starts here. Had the advantage of box 1 in his heat and from the awkward six draw tonight he will need to be at his very best.

7. UNO JOEL $41.00
Oct 2004 Primo Uno x Stumbler’s Lass
Trainer: J. Thompson Owner: M.W.Alder
Starts: 37-11-13-6 PB this Track: 30.01
Prizemoney: $48,840
Group race honours:
Heat winning time: 30.01
The Watchdog says: Least credentialed runner of this field who caused an upset win in his heat clocking a respectable 30.01 victory form this draw. Master trainer Jason Thompson puts the polish on this honest chaser but he will have to improve significantly on his heat winning time to pose any threat.

8. GIVE ME FIVE (NSW) $9.00
Nov 2004 Brett Lee x Doll’s Me Mum
Trainer: N.Rugg Owner: Hinessherlock Syndicate
Starts: 32-13-8-3 PB this Track: 29.65
Prizemoney: $58,050
Group race honours: Group 3 Perth Cup consolation final.
Winning heat time: 29.65
The Watchdog says: Gave pre-post favourite for this event and multiple Group 2 winner Cool Effort a start and a beating in his breathtaking 29.65 heat win from this draw. Prior to that win he broke the magical 30.00 barrier over 520m at Albion Park recording a flying 29.98. Tasted Group 3 success in winning the Group 3 Perth Cup consolation in April clocking a flying 30.09. Does his best racing from inside draws but a repeat of last weeks brilliant win would see him right in the finish.

9. COOL EFFORT $4.00
May 2005 Big Daddy Cool x Token Effort
Trainer: D.N.McDonald Owner: Cool Three Syndicate
Starts: 40-22-6-1 PB this Track: 29.52
Prizemoney: $162,190
Group race honours: Group 2 Geelong Cup, Group 2 Shoot Out.
Placed heat time: 29.84
The Watchdog says: Outstanding sprinter who recently won the Group 2 Geelong Cup in a stunning 25.34. Backed up from that run to defeat a hot field here in match race conditions in the Group 2 Shoot Out clocking a swift 29.71. Found Give Me Five too good on the night in his smart heat placing after finding the early lead. Has a top record over this trip having won seven of his 12 starts here which includes a stunning 29.52 pb win. Big threat if he gains a run.

10. RUN’S HOUSE $15.00
March 2005 Awesome Assassin x Amy’s Sonnet
Trainer: J.Thompson Owner: Seona Hood
Starts: 50-20-9-5 PB this Track: 29.77
Prizemoney: $181,150
Group race honours: Group 1 Maturity
Placed heat time: 29.88
The Watchdog says: Has been racing consistently at the top level since making last year’s Melbourne Cup final as a youngster. Recently ran second in the Group 1 Topgun at the Meadows in September. Ran a tough second to Bye Bye Bones in his heat last week. Is a rough hope if he gains a start.

The substance is used in cough medicines etc and from what ive been told to show up in a swab would have to have been given to the dog in the 3 hours prior to the swab when she was locked up in a secure kennel.

Went ok on the radio vaun said he was trying to lead me into saying something but i was on to him and didnt bite. Im not into politics
