The horse in the mid-late 90's WAIKIKAMAUKAU (spelling??) was a great name.

Also a dog race i watched had the entrant, pyjama donkey, which we backed and it ran nowhere.

There was a horse called Pistol Knight which ran a few races in Adelaide from memory too.

Maythehorsebewithyou... GREAT HORSE!

I was sitting in a pub in Launceston a couple of weeks ago with my best mate and were looking at the sky channel tv for weird names of horses.

Saw a horse ( I think it was a trotter) called "where's Nemo". We thought that was cute and dived into our purses to put a couple of $$ on him when we looked up again and saw he'd been scratched.

Felicitie said " What does SCR mean?"

I said " It means it's been scratched"

Felicitie said "why?"

and without thinking, my immediate response was "Dunno, maybe they couldn't find him!"

Everyone in the bar was in tears of laughter (even the barman) and thought it was the funniest thing they'd heard in ages. Small things amuse small minds I guess...
