the great race is this sunday morning (our time roughly 2.30am), while watching sky during the week, there was a story on the favourite 'cloudy lane' he is trained by the son of the trainer of the great 'red rum' so you'd think he'd know what's needed to win the event, as for punting well no thanks but it is a great race to watch & i saw the replay of the 1973 chase among others which was the aussie 'crisp' v 'red rum' & while watching it i thought it is the first & only time i've seen a horse 'hit the wall' as when he straightened up (about 8 in front) he started to wobble like a drunken sailor & tippy toe up the straight & he got nutted on the line, you'll probably see it again over the next couple of nights
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

One of the most Famous Races in the World yet our TABs DONT bet on it Bcos in the 21st century they DONT have the technology to bet on races involving more than 24 Runners. FFS wot a F Joke. :butthead: :butthead:

Can remember many years ago when they did bet on it and they used to couple up horses togethor so in effect you would back a horse but also have another one runner for you as well which whilst increasing your chances of a colllect, it diminished your odds if you fancied a horse one out.

TAB are betting a fixed odds market on this race of 40 starters and are paying a 4th place dividend for e.way or place bets.

2/ Cloudy Lane $7.50
3/ Butlers Camin $18.00
4/ Snowy Morning $26.00
