Joel Corey is a very good player, but as mentioned there are plenty of standouts ahead of him
when he goes well the cats generally win

Just to add a bit more to the banter..
Corey last year had statisticall a career year with game averages of
26 disposals
5 marks
5 tackles
This year he has been able to manage game averages of
30 disposals
5 marks
5 tackles
The problem..he had a streak like this last year that didnt result in votes....
2007 was also a career year for Brownlow Votes for him with ----12 a long way from the top

12 brownlow votes is nothing to sneeze at.
You can win with 17 or 18, which means he would only really need to play two more good games.

- 12 votes didnt even make the TOP 20
- 2 more good games?? he would need have needed to increase his votes nearly 150% to have won
- ...and when was the last time the Brownlow was won with 17 or 18 votes??? 1993 WANGAS
- (5 times since 1931 - 18 votes wouldve taken home the Medal)

Not claiming to know it all, just putting a different slant on the topic, as stated its all just a bit of BANTER..
And when you state
More often than not, a brownlow meddalist does NOT win a flag in the same year.
That is using history to help prdeict something is sport!
