Perce's Weekend Tips

Postby PerceThePunter » Sat Jun 03, 2006 10:36 am

G'day folks,

Have been reading this section for a while and thought it was time old Perce jumped on to give his thoughts on the best tips to make some cash for the weekend.

Firstly, in the SANFL this week; I like the Eagles as value over North Adelaide. Perce got $2.50 on them late Friday, and that looks good odds with some of their ins. North have got quality coming back, but the wet brings the home team right into things here. We'll take twenty on this.

Old John Thornton gave me his Magarey market to have a look at, so a tenner each way was slipped onto Dean Howard (North) at the juicy odds of $50. The Roosters will get lots of votes this year, and with some of their bigger guns out during the year at times, there will be a fair few votes flowing his way.

Think we'll also pop a tenner on the Redlegs to bring Centrals undone today as the other value. The $2.40 on on offer also looks good, particularly with a probable late withdrawal from the Bulldogs today.

In the AFL, we'll take the multi of Geelong +15.5/Bulldogs+15.5/Brisbane win at $13.60 - a tenner to return $133.60. It'll be wet at the Cattery today, bringing the home team into things, the Bulldogs should pack too many guns for the injury hit Hawks, and the Lions have their tails up after their last two games.

For anyone brave enough to chase the gallops today, Wavefront looks a good thing in Race 7 at Vic Park. If you can get the $5.00 on offer in today's paper, grab it quickly. Loves the wet and goes well first up. A tenner each way here too.
For a good each-way in the Oaks at Eagle Farm, we'll have $10 each way on My First Fifteen (R6, no.14). Drawn in the car park, but Cahill will snag her back and unleash for a big run in the roomy straight. At $15, looks a real each way special. We'll take a quinella at the $1 unit here also of 1,2,3,9,11,12,14

Total for the weekend: $120, with the Howard punt a banker for the season.

Good luck, and remember folks, don't just tip the winners...back 'em on....
