Cos the horse was bought at the sa yearling sales, when it races as a two year old they recieve points. At the end of this season which is at the end of this month, the horse with the most points recieves the award. The owner and breeder recieve $13,000 each. Had slip mahone won last nite he would have taken the lead, but as it stands now with 2 weeks to go, raisanna ruckus leads by a point ( i think) from brutus smith and then slip mahone. (It goes something like that anyway)
Perhaps joey can edit this if im out a little bit...

Hi Zahov,Taking into account 1st,2nd,and 3rd points are different for metropolitan/c fronts (saturday nights),to country fronts ie; Gawler,Port Pirie,Cranbourne,Bendigo ect as well as restricted fronts being different again,i have it that as off thursday the 14th rasina ruckus has 55 points, Brutus smith has 52 points, and Slip Mahone was on 58 points, now that was prior to this week end but like you (i think).................
