There has been considerable advertiser on the radio
for 3 weeks now , with the SAJC giving a free lunch
to all who attend the metropolitan race meetings.
A bold innovative promotional stratergy, lets face
it anything is worth a gamble to the ailing industry.
Has anyone got any FEEDBACK on the free meals.

Not sure it's actually a free meal. I think they give you a $5 voucher, or something like that.

They charge ten dollars to get in, and supply two free vouchers to the total of five dollars each, for food and drink. Five dollars is the maximum you can use for either, but at least it is a start. Trouble is, it has not really built the crowds up. The offer continues till the end of July. The real test may come on July 30, which is Dermody Stakes Day...for me...the start of Spring Racing.

$5 meal $5 drink voucher for $9 admission
Thats a very good deal by the SAJC.

I should imagine the wholesale costs would
cost the club about $3 to $4 for food/drinks
So they would still make about $5 profit.

Meanwhile the $6 admission at the dogs for 6
minutes of entertainent seems to be lopsided.

PR if we go to kulpara beers are $2-50

Can anyone tell me why i can buy a carton of stubbies at about $1-20 a stubby
and then pay $4-80 at venues ??????????????????????????????????????????????
