Greyhound racing Victoria on thursday announced another $1 million lift in prizemoney.
as in Hearald SUn Friday 7/7/07
The boom in Victorian greyhound racing continues with another $1 million lift in prizemoney for the 2006/07 financial year.
The increase was announced on thursday by Jan Wilson, Greyhound Racing Victorias chairman, who also said the money would be spread across all grades and clubs.
"despite a year in which the whole racing industry faced many challenges, Greyhound Racing Victoria has continued to increase market share," Wilson Said
The initiative will see total prizemoney grow by 5.21% to a forecast $21.6 million in 2006/07.
SO BASICALLY IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT GETTING INVOLVED IN GREYHOUND RACING, GET A DOG THATS RACING OR SEND IT TO VICTORIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVEN WA HAS BOOMING PRIZEMONEY. iN WA some of the grade 5 events carry more money then our open class races on a thursday night.
Its amazing at the forum the committee all blamed the Sky/TVN battle as for per turn-over and anything else that they were failing with but in Vic despite the troubles they have managed to grow!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess it goes down to who is running the show and here in SA we have a complete mob of pricks who have no idea what they are doing.
PETER ALI was in charge of BASKETBALL and look at them now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i can only imagine what the state of the dogs will be when he leaves.
