Grading and Prizemoney wed dogs a FARCE !

Here is the grading order and applicable prizemonies
allocated for those races on the wednesday morning
mANGLE PARK 5/7/06 meeting.

MAIDEN..........$500
GRADUATION..$500
GRADE5.........$400
GRADE4/5......$400

Strange allocations as the dogs get less prizemoney
for winning and going through the grades, got me ??.
No wonder this industry is the laughing stock.

Also 8 races today and 12 scratchings out of 40
nominated dogs for the meeting.
Goes to show if you race dogs up to 3 times a week
and also over nominate your dogs , then this inevitably
is going to happen.

Ive called this industry

A... Angel Park

then

B... mANGLE Park

now

C..Jingle jANGLE Park.

And they pay out 1.4 million dollars in administration a year............

did anyone hear the Racing Minister come on 5AA (1st time ive heard the show in ages) and basically said that the industry was being mis-managed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean you just have to look on here and see the screw ups the dogs have made, and im sure the trots and gallops have the same if not more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would anybody want to get involved in the industry now in either code???

looks like the norm to me - all three codes mismanaged BIG time thats why they are in such a mess, the racing industry in this state is STUFFED!! all three codes and the government just sits on its bloody hands, look at prizemoney - on the bloody decline in all 3 codes!! every other state is going forwards in leaps and bounds but not here. What i want to know is BLOODY WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the racing industry - all 3 codes are completely mis-managed and are in free-fall. Soon they will all be so screwed its not funny.

Before hearing the minister for racing on the radio the other night i agreed that the government doesnt do enough to help the industry, but in 2000 when the TAB was sold at a BARGAIN price the racing industry wanted to corporatise itself and become an independant body and stand on its own two feet. Apparently the government at the time was trying to make them reconsider, but the industry went ahead and did it. So really the government dont have an obligation to the racing industry as it did before. But given the amount of employment involved in the industry you would think they would help.

the whisper around the street is that the government is waiting for the SAJC to get on its hands and knees and be completely screwed and that they will step in and run it themselves.

I mean the guys that run the dogs, in particular Peter Ali, Robert Kennedy and then Steve Ploubidis at the SAJC absolutely have no idea what they are doing or how to promote their industry.

Steve Ploubidis came out and said punters were soft and spoilt and maybe we are but we get more value for $10 at a pub then we do by paying that much for admission. at least now you get a $5 drink and $5food voucher for your entry fee. at the dogs you pay $6 for 6 minutes entertainment and the food upstairs is complete crap. DAPTO dogs have free entry and done everything to promote the industry and what a surprise there are more people in attendance and turn-over has increased dramatically.

i dont think you can totally blame the pokies because if you look in victoria the greyhound industry over there has a $1 million more in prizemoney for this financial year and they have pokies.

Perth is the only state without pokies and all 3 codes are booming
