also about to visit Johnny on the way to the bay to back the bays at the line...we will kill em today

Thanks Dutchy, this was the encouragement that convinced me to back the Bays.
I too called in on the way to the Bay, however, forum rules prohibit any further discussion on my end of it.

:D :D :D :D

When I go there I saw the $1-50 but suprised the line had only moved out to 15.5 so had a crack and got back my investment on the Crows from Friday....the crows killed me as all my multis were into them winning, however backed Sydney and Freo at the line and with the Bays made a small profit from the weekend.

and the Roos get up to make it a great day!...I reckon a bit of cash was taken from the bays result, came in from $1.70 to $1.50 (Curly had them $1.46), not to mention Mal's plunge!

I guess it depends on the individual (this is a big bet in my case). It's on the Snouts Krauts site (A Tiger for Me vs PAM's thread)

no need to be sad, you still won!
yes, the bittersweet part today was that if the Bays won, I'd collect, but the chances of you collecting also increased.
Still take the Bays win tho

PS was spewing that the Aud was shut at 5:15, after being told it would be open until 5:30- I even said I'd call back past & collect!

Punk - would be interested in yours thoughts on Bays/Legs game this week. Im presuming you went to the Norwood/North game on the weekend along with the Bays game.

Looks like this one will be pretty even in the markets. Given a dry day I reckon we could have better talls and more run.

Although not being the genius of Punky I too went to both games.
I agree that the conditions might determinte which way I go.
If its drizzly Norwood, if its fine and sunny I'll put a bob on Glenelg.

1 decent winning bet, doesn't a genius make...
The Bays yesterday was the bet of the year, I wouldn't be punting on the Nwd/Bays game (I like winning, not gambling), as they are 2 sides who can fight it out to the wire.
Wedgie's assessment is a very good one, but it is a genuine 50/50 chance (although if it is wet & windy etc, & being at home, Norwood would be the better bet).
