Perce's Weekend Tips - 5/8/06

Folks,

Time to put the ol' proverbials on the line once again.

This week, in the SANFL, something keeps appealing about South Adelaide. The Eagles have been up for a fair while and I suspect this week may bring about their undoing at Noarlunga against an opponent desperate to retain credibility. We'll have $25 on the Panthers at $4 ($100 win).

In the AFL, we'll take the first multi of Melb/Rich/Syd and either team by under 15.5 in Bris/Geel at $13.91. $10 to win $139.10. We'll also throw in the high/low double of Fremantle/Port Adelaide, suspecting that Port look vulnerable here. $10 on this at $35 to win $350.

Like a couple at Morphettville tomorrow at good odds. R7, no. 3 Noble Win. Forget that last start 6th, it should have brained them with a clear run after a very unlucky 3rd the previous start. At $5 in the overnight markets, we'll take $15 a win, $35 the place (total of $50). Also like Potent Mix in the 6th, no. 11 at $15. We'll have just $5 e.w on this.
To make it interesting, we'll take the treble here of 1,2,3,8/2,6,11/1,3,5,10 at the 1/2 unit for $24.

One roughie at Caulfield in the Bletchingly - Snort. At $17 in the overnights, it makes a huge jump from a maiden to Grp. 3, but gee, it hit the line hard last start. We'll have a fiver each way on this (total $10).

At the very first look at the Caulfield/Melb. cup double, Perce has a $5 riding on Art Success/Railings to win $2890. We'll watch this with great interest over the spring.

Total: $144.

Well, folks, hope the regulars followed the lead into South Adelaide there...as well as a narrow 2nd on Potent Mix ($2.80 the place) and Snort ($3.30 the place) - loss of $13.50 on the $144, but still got the Cups double to keep things interesting for the year!
