G RYAN

G'day fellow punters

Just thought I'd add my two cents worth to this excellent forum. I've been watching the experts tips for ages and u blokes seem to know what you're doing, so keep up the good work.

Reason I'm contributing is that I've been keeping an eye on a jockey who only rides races in country NSW and has been doing so for years. His name is Greg Ryan and he's one of those jockeys who always gives his rides a chance. I've won a fair bit on him in the past but I understand this is not the place to brag about past accomplishments so I won't.

However, tomorrow at Forbes Ryan has a ride in each of the 9 races on the card and having had a quick look he could be in for an excellent day. My method is to bet for a win on anything with odds of 6-1 or less and back eachway for anything over that. I've seen the guy send three nags over the line on a single day that were all over 20-1 shots.

I'll be having a few wagers on him tomorrow and in the future and if you blokes want to make some money, keep an eye on him no matter what odds the horse is cos you will be in with a chance of making a collect.

Cheers

Welcome to the stable Frosty. No one has been successful in holding up the racing portfolio, look forward to your input.

Will follow this one closely today along with Bayman's tips it could be a good day!

Good country hoop.... travells far and wide with limited chances in town.
I am of the opinion that at times his mounts are unders and punters just back the jockey.

Id have to agree he is an excellent jockey who gives his horses every chance, but his horses do appear to be under the odds on most occassions.

out of curiousity what is his record on favs or horses in the top 3 betting, im thinking a system could be used

Not a bad start

Postby Frosty » Mon Aug 07, 2006 9:39 pm

Race 2 - Irish Opera came 3rd paid $2.60 for the place
Race 3 - Queens Move came 2nd paid $1.20 the place
Race 4 - Armah came 2nd by a nose paid $3.40 for the place (I was on this)
Race 5 - Dark Centaur won paid $7.40 the win and $2.30 the place
Race 9 - Schickedanz - won paid $4.40 the win and $1.90 the place

5 places from 9 races - most jockeys would take that any day.

Another strong book of rides for Ryan

Postby Frosty » Thu Aug 10, 2006 10:30 pm

Friday 11/8 @ Tamworth - Greg Ryan has another fantastic group of rides with almost everything he is on rated well and all are a chance to win/place. Make sure you get on him again.

Happy punting
