ive ended my association with sportsbet over what was perhaps a trivial matter, but principally i thought wasnt up to standard. My account was suspended 'accidentally' for a few hours, and i was unable to place my 3 planned quadrellas, and numerous other bets (after hours of studying). The communication was poor (waited on the phone for 15mins then gave up, sent 6 emails asking why my account was suspended - all with no reply until the next day!). Now when they finally got in contact with me, they gave me 2 x $20 free bets as compensation. I didnt think that squared the ledger, so i have closed my account and will invest elsewhere. Admittedly, i received 4 x $50 free bets due to a mistake on their behalf, but for the sole matter of suspending my account without reason for two hours in the day when most of my betting activity occurs, principally i believe i got a raw deal.

From a completely impartial view, I think your actions are a little over the top dodgingandweaving as mistakes do happen and your account was suspended for only a few hours - yes at an inopportune time admittedly.

But you have also received from them 2 x $20 bets as compensation and you have previously had 4 x $50 free bets courtesy of them from making mistakes re-compensation. Obviously the bets you had planned for that afternoon must have got up and left you peeved but I would suggest "fair suck of the sav" and move on.

I probably made a rash decision in the heat of the moment, mainly due to the bets i was looking to place had saluted & I stood to make a few quid. After hours of studying and receving 2 x $20 FREE BETs, i believed I had been hard done by. The lack of communication was a worry, took forever just to receive an email back from Customer Service whilst i sat there bemused as to why my account had been suspended. Was incredibly frsutrating. Sportsbet do some great thnigs with their FREE BETS, etc and hopefully i can come to some kind of agreement to continue my association with them.

Fair enough, but i have since came back with my tail between my legs and asked to have my account re-opened. Expressed that i was angered and bemused by the suspension of my account, and frustrated by the lack of communication during a busy betting period of the day, said i was caught up in the anger and make a rash decision in the heat of the moment.

Hi,

Unfortunately management has closed your account permanently.

Nah mate, I was out of the running of that after the first couple of rounds.
Had to be a mug punter to be doing any good the way the start of this season (most of the season for that matter) panned out.

True, but doesn't do much for their repore.
They should be enticing customers to continue betting with them i would've thought, not excluding them.

I've still got the other halves account, and the old mans. No big loss.

Still have a pending bet on for Simon Katich most runs in the ASHES SERIES, wonder what will happen to that now that my account has been 'permanently closed'

Dodgey, whilst hard to take at the time, i reckon you probably got a quicker response that you would have from many other clubs and companies! Sometimes it's not unknown to be on hold for a few hours, and as for a written response (even via email), that's a rarity these days.

Notwithstanding, at least you communicated your decision and your reasons to them rather than just cutting and running as many would.
