scaffidi can't drive wrote:Well this official wouldn't be one that is on $120k per year with a "company car" and has allegedly told a few industry participants that small people are not needed in the Trots in SA...That's right, we need professional trainers, like - L Justice, J Justice, G Webster, R Sugars who have left the state because they can't make a living - there are a few more are considering leaving as we speak...
This is after the trainer/driver fees this year were over $700 (which is more then the victorians pay - and they get $110 unplaced drivers fees metro racing on top of the $12000 prizemoney, where in SA we get $30 and it comes out of the $1200 prizemoney! - somethings not right there)
The admin side of things is not performing well either... There was a wave of new sponsors and some $600 - $700k in the bank 15 months ago... this should have paid for a track upgrade and the interdominion next year.. Now due to the TAB debarcle and a few other issues (building maintenance) the club has $0 in the bank, the new sponsors are gone and as Mal said there is a huge fight going through the courts re presidency, I for one hope the club isn't paying for that....
Now as for a ligher side = the crowd tonight, not only was it up, but Bayman's tounge was on the ground a few times as a few of the young girls walked past, in fact - we almost had to tie him to a chair after he followed one particular goble around all night...
