Well boys i will give you the hot tip .......
Young Hector has recently trialled a tick under the track record down the straight at kulpara and Stathalbyn over the 416 mtrs and will give the cup a mighty shake. He is in the very capable hands of Mick 'Doggy' Stewart of Brute Bernard fame. This dog has a ton of ability but just dwells at the start b4 mustering quickly

when this dog first arrived in SA I believe its first race start was at a wednesday morning meeting that I attended and it won, along with another from the kennel.

spoke to a couple of guys from the kennel who had a high opinion of the dog and after watching the replay of that win and a couple of runs after that i thought that the dog would go straight through the grades to the top grade. unfortunately it was over-raced and suffered some injuries, i was surprised because Stewart is a vert astute trainer with only a couple of dogs in his kennel.

he has a superb strike rate.

its good to see the dog back in form!!!!!!!!!!

My sincerest apologies, MT79 will have to hold the fort.

MAL LOSES SHIRT AT KULPARA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Postby mighty_tiger_79 » Sat Oct 07, 2006 7:45 pm

WELL what an eventful day it was up at KULPARA.

I went to HQ for brekky and to watch the footy show taping and headed upto MALS just after 11.

we took off and drove a few km's and MAL was getting concerned about the heat gauge in the car going to hot so pulled over...... of course when MAL had gone to the servo to get fuel and check the car for fluids etc, he forgot to put the radiator cap back on it. MALNAFICENTLY he drove roughly 10kms and it didnt even move from the spot he left it at!!!!!!

we stopped off at DUBLIN to top up on fuel as we ran out of GAS and MALS passenger window looked as if it was about to be blown out as it doesnt sit properly! of course we managed to get it fixed, with help from JULES who occupied the backseat.

Arrived at KULPARA and MAL was stuck in his seat, he couldnt undo the SEATBELT!!!!!!!!!!!

on DEPARTURE the car was still overheating so MAL took off his SHIRT (u should have seen the women run, like bees to honey) to take the cap off, but of course let JULES take the honours!!!!

The BOOKIE does bet a HIGH %%% close to around 190% but as the KENNEL FOREMAN pointed out there is value to be made, and wioth his help we made some money during the day......

the bookie bets tote prices on all the gallops meetings.

KULPARA actually put THE ADVERTISER racing guide on the wall!!!!!!!!!!!! A club run by volunteers can do this yet at MANGLE PARK with $1.4 million with admin fees they cant even find an advertiser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BEERS - hahn premium light =$3!!!!!!!!!! at MANGLE PARK it would be around $4.90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also towards the end of the day in the bar they had free pies and pasties out for everyone to grab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOUNG HECTOR got a mention a couple of times during the week, he put in a good solid performance to win narrowly went around at $1.50, but MAL SCREWED my girlfriend and got $2 he had YOUNG HECTOR while my girlfriend had the remainder of the field for an even $50

according to KF, HEALESVILLE straight track in victoria is up around YARRA GLEN and at HEALESVILLE a trainer cant catch their own dog. when you drive in the entrance they have all the local kids lined up and they catch your dogs, you have to pay $5 or $10 but it helps the local community. also at the starting boxes they have tv's so the trainers can watch the race and not have to guess!!!!!!!!!!! great work that.

$3 beers loved it.
Free pies and pasties at the bar loved it.
Greg Mcatee fielding there i loved it.
Great day, despite the car probs.
I noticed it was overheating when the needle went between the nor-- +-- mal.
as soon as the gauge went past MAL i knew something was cooking.

Great day despite the 22o km round trip in my rolls ROYCIE !

This is how I screwed MT79's girlfriend

Young Hector was $1-50 favourite, I asked his girlfriend to have a side bet
with me , I have one dog Young Hector and she could have the other 7 dogs
She thought it was a bargain and she accepted the bet.
YOUNG HECTOR won in a photo
Mal tricked another feMALe.
I laughed that much I nearly swallowed a Dragonfly.
