trevor shaw passed away on thursday aged 70, trevor was the starter at the gawler dogs for many years & served the greyhound industry in many other areas as well, he was also a keen student & follower of the trots & was there almost every week & tonight the place seemed quiet when trevor wasn't at his usual seat, but the best thing that could be said was trevor was a lovely person a real top bloke

RIP TREVOR SHAW......we will miss you

Bill Alver also passed away this month aged 80
Bill was the man who published the Greyhound form guide called the Gold Guide
Thats the form guides you get on course
I had the distinct privilledge of being the tipster in that Gold Guide ago
I recall one night a punter coming up and telling me the Gold Guide tipSTAR tipped the pick 4 in order that paid thousands...if only he knew !
Bill Alver was also a Chairman at the dogs as well in his time

Trevor Shaw, what can I say, a dedicated follower of dogs and trots
Certainly wont be the same without having a chat with Trev on the racecourses

Hopefully both of these Greyhound stalwarts find another lure.
