as i said earlier, check out the results via unitab webpage. eg last night 7/12/06 results
i didin't play it last night. you need to be at a tab or track from race 1.
ALBION PARK (BG) 8,5,1 start 1,4,5 5,8,7 3,5,6 4,6,5 5,1,2 $3.60 5 races
DAPTO (SG) 2,5,3 start 5,7,6 2,4,9 $2.10 2 races
SANDOWN (MG) 2,7,6 start 4,7,2 6,5,1 2,1,7 $7.80 3 races
ANGLE PARK (AG) 3,1,2 start 5,2,7 5,3,7 $4.90 2 races
HOBART (FG) 6,7,8 start 2,3,6 2,3,1 $15.20 whoosh 2 races
this was an above average night but the results were great.
follow this method up on most days as they have up to 8 meetings.
the key is take a specific profit from the series eg. $20 a meeting 5 meetings $100 then quit that meeting.
have a higher base for higher profit
if you get a big winner its a bonus.
you will get days were the double up is in race 6,7 which means a large outlay of money but this sort of meeting should still return you even or a small profit if you do your calculations right .
its very mechanical but it is sound great for nights or days were the fields are too hard or you could'nt be bothered on form.
i hope this give's a little food for thought.
i do use this regularly when i can be there for race 1.
most times i am aware of the system and bring it into play after race 4 if a double has not been struck and i'm doing form instead.
phwe  that was a huge one.
good luck all

system 1

Postby mighty_tiger_79 » Sat Dec 09, 2006 6:02 pm

SYSTEM 1 - this is mainly used to get placegetters.

1 - Top of tipsters poll (min 5 tipsters)

2 - Top 5 favs in paper (fri paper)

3 - Horse must not have won last start but beaten less then 3 lengths

4 - Distance - 200m either side for races upto 1600m. 1600m + allow 400m upwards but dropping back by no more then 200m.

5 - Handle current track conditions. If the track conditions change dramatically from friday - saturday then the horse must have shown an ability to handle current track conditions.

6 - Days - allow 15 days for horses racing 1600m + and 22 days for horses racing upto 1600m.

 all i can say is check it out!!!
WENTWORTH PARK $25.20 1 race
THE MEADOWS $5.10 3 races
SHEPPARTON $5.70 3 races (res went into box 6 ) then box 6 won
CANNINGTON $10.40 2 races.
this was another huge night with minimal outlay.
boys you seem a bit quiet on this system.
i think the last 3 days results show you how simple it is to make a profit.
i can tell you xmas has come early tonight. :P :P

the staking is done by percentage. a bit like a dutch book http://www.progroupracing.com.au/Bettin ... chbook.htm
as you know fixed price would be an advantage eg a bookie but they are hard to find and have cramped odds.
its all about taking a fixed winning amount from the meeting. as i said i,m happy with $20 per meeting more than this means too big an outlay on long box runs.
for eg. race 1 box8 wins
start bet race 2 $7 on box 8 to win @$3.60 to give me the profit i want =$25.20 close enough to $20 profit.
box 5 wins
race 3 back box 8 $4.95 & box 5 $11.40 now we add our first losing bet of $7 to our required profit which gives me $27 so @$4.95 to achieve $27 =$5.45 or $6 rounded up +the no 5 bet of $27/$11.40 =2.3 or $3 rounded up as you can see i,m only betting what i need to win my profit not a flat stake. that is not needed
bummer box 1 wins.
now we have bet $7 race 1 +$9 race 2 so we add them plus what we want to win $20 =$36
odds box 1 $2.60 we need to bet $14 rounded up
odds box 5 $4.20 we need to bet $9 rounded up
odds box 8 $9.50 we nee to bet $4 rounded up
total bet $27 on 3 dogs
this happens till a repeat and you win thats end of series.
i always round up because of betting fluctuations but if you want to bet with a bookie you know your return. but this also stops the drifters in the last minute which have gone out giving a larger return.
this is just a pure mathematical system and has no emotion.
it will just make money on a small scale unless you have more to use.
the highest amount i have bet in a race on this system is $105 a lot but i know i,m going to win $20 as this it went to 8dogs and i have only seen it twice in over 200 meetings that 8 races with 8 boxes winning.
i hope this all helps
i use this in the back
:D :D :D

whoops hit send too quick.
i use this a lot in the background while betting my form fancies.
it's still a great challenge to get the winers up.
use it for every greyhound meeting and take the small wins as you never go broke taking a profit.
good luck 8)

2) Top 3 zipform rated (sportsman)
3) Beaten less then 3 lengths if unplaced last start

ok now with those 2 systems ill be adding these additional rules as well individually to see if we can find a full proof selection process

a) min of 10 race starts
b) Placed track and distance
c) handle current track conditions. If conditions change dramatically then the horse must have shown an ability to handle the new conditions.
d) GRADING - not going up in grade but either in the same grade or lower
e)top 5 favs in paper
f) top 3 tipsters poll - min 5
g) class 6 races and above only
h) last start metro track
i)no apprentice jockeys
j)beaten fav last start
k)top 3 in average prizemoney
L) Maiden races only.

this is another good system that works very well in PERTH, and also HONG KONG if you bet there. I call this the CLASS 6 MAIDEN

look for class 6 races

assess the form and if there are only 2,3 horses that are correctly graded then back them. can use this system on a daily basis.
