Luckiest or Well placed horse trainer

Is Anthony Robinson the luckiest horse trainer or does he place his horses well in the lower claiming races???????
Kia kaha is one of 6 horses in for 2k this coming Monday and where do you think it drew? You guessed it THE POLE. I have been watching his lower claiming$$$$ horses for a while and his good draws are phenomenal. I understand that it comes down to PBD on claim price but here are some statistics,, Kia kaha's previous 20 starts he has drawn either 1 or 2 on 11 times(5,6) and gate three on 5 times thats 80% he's drawn 1,2 or 3. The Dalmation has drawn either 1 or 2 on 10 times(6,4) and gate three on 5 times, that's 75% in either 1,2 or 3. Is it luck, well placed or both????
PS, Ohaka Teri has drawn 7 in the claimer on Saturday night, the same draw he's had for the previous 3 starts where he's had 2 wins and a third

better put your theory up on why it happens

http://safooty.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11209

I think it's the computer system based on horses name (that's my theory) and i'm not willing to go into any further details about my studies on it.

Kia Kaha + The Dalbaymanation are iron horses.
They just keep buttering up in these claimers and keep performing most weeks.

WARRIOR its just " Luck of the Draw."

Thats fair enough Mal, but they butter up week in and weekout bcoz there not having gut busters every week like these other horses who dont draw that well. Lets face it, in these races it comes down to who's had the easier run bcoz most of these horses are of the same ability. Good Luck to him

WARRIOR
Good point about gutbusters + good draws
But, hes a good trainer and a good driver and deserves the success he gets
That is Robinsons " Claim to fame."

ARs horses continue to draw well while they keep going in cheap every week, the real question here is why no one claims ARs horses ???????? The Dalmation 2k, Kia Kaha 2k they have won near 20 races between them this season yet no one claims them :? If most other trainers had them they would either have to put their prices up and no longer get the good draws or they would get claimed. So as long as no one claims ARs horses he will keep putting them in cheap and they will ultimately draw well. Fair dinkum his horses can win 4 out of 5 and still go in for 2k, its unbelievable and the major reason why he has so much success.

So the real question here WHY DOES NO ONE CLAIM ARs HORSES ???????? :-k Is he that good as a trainer or is there some other reason, we are not talking big money here.

You are right though he has an amazing nack of drawing well but if his horses got claimed we wouldnt be having this discussion would we ??????

Robinson had a horse a couple of years back
He got this particaular horse going well
It was claimed and went awful for the other trainer
I think Robinson re claimed the same horse back
Anyhows this horse got going again under Robinson
Im pretty sure the horse was Bonds Mission

I think I heard that Robinson gave it swimming workouts which was the secret to getting this horse firing

Moral of the story and from what Ive heard and seen glimpses of:
""Robinson gets his horses going, most other trainers can-not replicate his successes with the same horse."""

Is this why Kia Kaha and The Dalbaymanation are not getting claimed ?????????????????

IMO - there is a pattern of draws

Horses that draw 1,2,6,7,8,10 very rarely draw 3,4,5,9 (except when a combination means they have to or a PBD makes them barrier 1 in the specific class or sex) - I've found that there is a grouping effect based on the horses name.

A computer program draws the fields - so it has to be programmed to do something and that programming is where their is an imbalance in draws.

Horses like The Dalmation and Kia Kaha too often go in for $2k and draw 1 out of the $2k horses - they are just well named animals...

I won't bore you with all of them but a couple of other examples

Em Cee Squared - go back and take a look at how often this animal has drawn either barriers 6,7 or 10
Im Slippery When Wet - drew 1,2,7,8 every week and then we mention it on here and it gets 6 and 10 regularly after that.

If I owned one of the better claimers and you could not beat Kia Kaha an The Dalmation, an you could not keep them as fit as AR, i would spend 3 or 4 grand an claim them put them in the paddock an see if you could win some races with your own horse. later down the track put KK an TD back in claimers hoping AR claims them back

It's actually called doing proper form and analysis of races when trying to punt.. I've do proper form analysis and noticed it in the course of my form... speaking of doing form - if your man P Cavallaro did some proper homework in races (like D Harding does), he might drive more winners
