Ill have a crack -

Norwood $3.20 Port $1.30
North $2.80 Central $1.40
Sturt $1.80 West $1.90
Eagles $1.33 South $3.30

Thoughts?

North any chance to knock off Dogs at home who might be due for a downer?...might be a reasonable bet at 3 goals in?

South will be after some revenge against the Eagles and might be value

Port will come out firing probably feeling a little hard done by last week, cant see Norwood getting close.
Centrals are due for a loss, but still have a lot in reserve if need be i feel. maybe worth a few $'s on North though, but its quite a gamble i think.
Sturt and West could go either way, i think West will have the goods though.
Eagles getting back to their best, South probably just wont be good enough.

Bet of the round, West to Beat Sturt.

thats what i thought in round 1 when they played at broadspectrum. maybe the $51 for the draw

during the 2nd qtr of round 1 I though, neither team is good enough to win, this will be a draw.

well westies came from about 4 goals down at half time in that game, and probably should have won it if they had kicked straight for goals, but in the last 1/4 i thought the draw was a chance.

id be thinking that Sturt will win, but the draw you can never rule it out with these 2 after rd 1

If you see Geelong at $2.15 anywhere, you should put the house on them! If Port come out as soft and insipid as we have in the last three weeks, we'll get done by 100.

Richmond have covered ATS against Sydney, WCE and Adelaide...a fair effort. All 5 losses at the G this year have been by under 32 points. Defense/midfield has been good last 2 weeks conceding only 48 & 50 I50's to Port and Crows which is under the AFL average.

This is Essendons first night game of the year (apart from TD games)...could this be a factor? Looking at the other Dome tennant they have lost their 2 nights games this season by over 50 points...dont know if it is worth anything however maybe the different conditions could be a factor (e.g bounce of ball, sight etc) Essendon have only won 1 game out of their last 11 at the MCG

Im favouring Richmond at the points (20.5) at the moment

I think the Crows are a great bet this week...the have been coping it from the media over here about their performance against Richmond and they love playing at TD, might get a couple of players back and have a 8 day break leading into the game, Carlton have a 7 day break but considering they came back from Qld effectively a 6 day break to prepare. Adelaide are 6-1 in last 7 at the ground and Carlton are 1-10 in last 11 at the ground...early line is 22.5 therefore Im going to take it now as I can see this one getting out.

Brisbane/Collingwood is a very interesting game..Pies have never won at the Gabba...cant really get my head around this game but will be looking at taking the Lions for a small wager as they will wont to perform for their fans after the Crows game and Blacks 200

WCE/Hawks - No Bet

Freo/Saints - Weird game to assess, Im leaning Freo 1-39 but Saints havent won or lost a game by less than 26 points yet this season but conversely Freo havent won big yet this season and in fact havent scored highly at all especially at Subi...Rain is forecast so might stick with 1-39

im finding it hard to find much value in the AFL this week, i think GEELONG are a good bet at the $2.05 johnny has them, but other then that.

i thought about taking geelong, richmond and freo at +24.5pts which was around $3.

ill wait till the sanfl prices come out and see if there is any value there.

maybe the draw in sturt v west.........

Like them all except I wouldnt take the risk with the Saints MT...both interstate trips this year have been losses by over 50 points and Freo are due to kick a big score at home shortly, not saying it will happen but I dont think I would take the risk with them...

yeah i agree with you to an extent about freo, but they just dont kill off teams, mind you it could happen if the Saints pull up.
