CONFESSION TIME
------------------

I must say that my turnover at the dogs has slumped in 2007
I used to turnover about $1000 a night a decade ago
But these days I hardly have a bet
I specifically wont back dogs that have had a run less than 7 days
Unfortunatey that eliminates about 50% of all dogs racing in SA.
Also with the proliferation of ex Interstate dogs coming over the
form is too hard to work out on them.

I work out the LATE MALS and have a punt if the price is right.
I take little trebles/quaddies these days.
With so many ''jaded'' dogs I try and take a few runners in each leg
and hope for the best.

I have set myself a new challenge in the new financial year
I will have a fictitous bank of say $500 for LATE MALS
____________________________________________________
Each unit of bet will be $5 ew $10 win or $10 place
____________________________________________________
If I lose that bank I will not do any more dog previews
trebles are not included in the bank

No bets at AP this week.

I have a couple at Launceston that go OK will see the odds TOMorrow

Mal, you can look up the form of all vic imports on the grv website http://www.grv.org.au

as for dog backing up i really disagree with you i think that u need to do a bit of research and see what trainers are capable of backing a dog up and if the dog is due for a downgrade etc i had a dog win today at geel it was her career best run and best time ever at the track this is her recent form

Pl Bx Wght Dist Trk Date Time BON M`gin 1st/2nd(Time) 1st Split Comment S/P Grade Hcap
1 (6) 28.4 457 GEL 02/07/07 25.91 25.71 2.50 Currency Jack (26.08) 6.87 M111 $12.60 5P .

7 (3) 28.8 457 GEL 01/06/07 26.52 25.74 8.50 O'Meley Bale (25.97) 6.94 M378,C8 $28.70 5T .

this was her 8th run in approx a month and in those 2 500m races she blew the start and got hammered. so i dont know i think dogs can race every 3-4 days without much problem if they are sound and fit of i can get another kg off this one she might be a half decent apk dog

no gloating i didnt back her either thought the blue would knock her over at the start just using her as an example of a dog with heaps of racing running her best race after a fairly hectic month

Vicgirl being the expert dog anaylist on this site I have come
to the absolute conclusion that your dog likes the Geelong circuit.

Dogs backing up ????
I dont know which ones can back up
BUT
The trainers do
Thats a disadvantage for me, hence why Ive curtailed my dog betting of late.

Good trainers like JOVANOVIC and Yourself can do it readily
BUT
How many trainers dont know how to back up dogs as proficiently
