Looks like we're racing on a good3.
Prepare for the gnashing of teeth from the reffo trainers.
Congrats to the weather gurus who predicted 2-4'' of rain come raceday, curator never watered this week in preparation.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

Hot Danish not best suited by the mile. Tracy too good.
Catapulted again is not a class above. Beaded if tuned up will go well first up and v,good value at 15 and 4 on betfair. Each way bet of day.

Was dissappointed with the performance of Craig Williams on Moudre in the 2nd on Saturday - had my money on it, can you tell? LOL - out of Barrier 1 I felt he did the right thing early but IMHO he should have tried to at least stay up on the speed til about 800 to go instead of letting everything go past it and then having to try to fight through the field from the rail. Having said all that though he was still finding the line extremely well and felt he would have given a good account of himself in the Melbourne Cup but alas it wasn't to be. Felt the race that cost it was when it finished a nose 3rd to Rainbow Styling - in a race that would have guaranteed entry into cup if it had won - about 6 weeks ago after being in a position at the turn that even some of the greatest horses of all time would have struggled to win from.

Not sure what Craig Newitt and Mick Price were doing with Dubleanny in the 8th. It's a wet tracker so what they were trying to do by running it on the outside rail is beyond me. Well done to anyone who had Whitefriars though as it probably would have only paid about $5 for the win in dry conditions. The sheer size of the horse and the pace it has gives you the impression it's Hay List mark II.

Great run by Lion Tamer to win the Derby.

As far as Melbourne Cup goes it's going to be interesting as it would be hard to argue with So You Think on a good/dead track but it's never gone over 2040m - I know, I know, they said the same about Saintly - and it's never even raced on a Slow rated track. Being out of High Chaparral though - Descarado and Monaco Consul come to mind - a wet track may not bother it.
Forgetting SYT for a moment though, have to like Mayluckyday, Shocking (still), Manighar and Descarado. To pick one though I'll go Mayluckyday - no weight, Luke Nolen on board good barrier and looks like it will do 3200 easily and times it has been running recently over 2400 and 2500 are times that will win most Group 1's.

In good/dead track situation hard to go past SYT and Mayluckyday but for a bit of value I'll also be going Zavite and Holberg.

P.S. Keep an eye on a horse called Celts. Won in Sydney Saturday week ago over Buffering and ran a red hot 1 minute 9.39 over the 1200 despite being held up for a run in the straight.

race 1 - 1 skilled the toppy looks hard to beat and can handle wet conditions. If the rain comes im keen on the 7 Get out of town at around $30 - NO JOY IN THAT RACE

race 2 - 2 herculian prince - can handle it with some rain and at $10 is worth an investment - GONE WITH 800M TO GO

race 3 - 2 divorces - drawn terrible, doesnt really handle wet tracks but at the $23 looks good value, shouldnt get too far back in this tomorrow, the jockey should be pushing forward early. - ON THE TURN IT LOOKED AS IF IT WAS READY TO RUN ON BUT NO GOOD

race 4 - 10 - solar charged, one of my better ew bets for the day, everything looks in its favour and at $$6 and $2.25 - NO GOOD - winner was a good run Star Witness

race 5

so you think - bart says to get on, listening to bookies will make you go broke, but the $1.55 on offer isnt as good value as it was last week.
shocking has a solid ew hope, class horse.
Ginga Dude was an impressive winner last start, likely to go forward but wont have the fav stalking it, the wetter the better.
Descarado $17 On a 1x6 stake.
Plenty of value around if ya dont like the fav

the trify in the above analysis pays $114 - SYT - just blew them away, ginga dude was up the front and battled and descarado ran a nice 2nd and paid $2.40 place which was good for the stake suggested 1x6

race 6 - smokin joey - things didnt go according to plan last start when it was expected to be right in the finish and then was going to be one of the favs for this race. Im prepared to overlook that run and take the $15. Again the wetter the better. - LION TAMER was on it last week and jumped off it this week

Another at good odds looks to be the 6 yulalona, another who is drawn horribly and the issue is retrieve beat it last start by 3.5lengths and last start yulalona had a 1kg pull on the toppy and today they meet on equal weights. - not even close here

race 7 - 1 - hot danish really does look like a great ew bet in this
2 - typhoon tracy - going on the same system that found Lady Lynette last week at good odds, is that she won this race last year, unfortunately the price with her isnt as good as the winner from last week!
6 Sacred Choice, small ew at $20 especially if its real wet
12 - yosei as has been mentioned before, is carrying a feather tomorrrow, only issue is a filly hasnt won this race in 18yrs!
7 - katie lee - I thought this had a chance last week, and if ridden properly it may well have finished a lot closer then 7.5 lengths off the winner. the good thing is after being last at the 600m it did get past 6 horses. $17 on the fixed odds, obviously has some ability and im confident that Bowman wont have her last on the fence with no ******* where to go and if he does, then god help him!

6 - sacred choice wins at around $22, that was nice, typhoon tracy and hot danish filled the placings

race 8 - 3 - catapulted looks the one to beat in this race
other chances to include are the 4,6,8,9,11

11 - won this race, 3 wasnt in it - winner $15.90

race 9 -
1 dao dao - can handle the wet $8
5 - Mcclintock - $15 - will be up near the leaders and could be the place to be
10 - prince braeman - goes ok wet and distance $10
12 - we're gonna rock - $4.60 looks the top pick

not close here

JACKPOTS on this meeting

UNITAB

race 6 - first 4 jackpot $65k
race 8 - quinella jackpot - $7.5k
daily double $4.3k

OZBET

race 5 - quartet - $8k
race 6 - quartet $8k

Love your work MT79.

My cousin rang me Friday night as it was his turn to put our bets on for our syndicate but he didn't have time to do them so he asked me to pick them out for him. As it was late Friday night and I wasn't going to have time Sat morning myself I thought I would log on here and see if there was anything on offer!!

I took your Quaddie at 2% - $51-90. outlay for the very nice return of $2399-62. That's the good news.... thank you again MT. :D

Kicking myself that I didn't put it on for myself as well which I normally do when I do our syndicates bets.

Kicking myself even more that my cousin who I put the bets on behalf of DID copy this bet (also 2%) and collected himself as well as getting all the accolades from the rest of our syndicate members.

Can't complain though! :D :D :D

When can I expect tomorrow's quaddie numbers to be posted MT??

Sorry about the quality of the pic, it's from my iphone.
