it was a good start to hump day, funny thing is the one selection that i thought would win and would be short ran 2nd and at $1.80 PLACE which was overs as it should have been shorter then that win

will be reviewing the tapes from last sat night WA CUP heats

will also be doing the form for this weeks WA racing - some very nice animals racing over there at the moment

Our little champ Elle Addis had to be put down at Angle Park today in race 7. According to those who saw the incident it was most unsavoury:

"She dashed across at the start and led by two lengths and was still in front coming off the back straight. The One Dog tried to rail up on her inside but couldn’t get through, then tried to switch over her heels. It ended up landing on her back legs and dragging her down from behind. Elle Addis suffered very severe lacerations and broke both her front legs."

Im in shock- Ive had quite a few runners and never had anything more than strained joints or lacerations as injuries during a race.

Luck of the racing game eh? She had 39 starts for three wins, eight seconds and seven thirds.
