these are my investments for the night

all ups

races 4,5,6

ive then used races 4,5,6 as my anchors into every other race for all ups

with races 4,5,6,8 being the second biggest all up investment

with that ive taken all ups with races 4,5,6 to win and the other race to PLACE as well

the other all up

were races 7,10,11

SA OAKS QUE SERA SERA + DORIS + NORMIE
--------------------------------------

We have the """VICTORIAN""" Oaks  races Thursday night and I will dedicate the race 5 heat
to Doris and Normie and a superstar dog Que Sera sera.
Que Sera Sera was a hit song for the blonde bombshell Doris Day I think back in the 50s
Normie Rowe the OZ rock and roller of the sixties also had a sensational version of the song.
I have both renditions on vynil
The songs were classics and the Victorian dog que Sera Sera is on par with the songs

PREVIEW
-----------

R1...1238
R2...6143
R3...8214
R4...4361
R5...2578 [QUE SERA SERA what odds ? " whatever will be will be."]
R6...3658
R7...1743
R8...1756
R9...6872
R10..8712
R11..1234

BEST BETS

R5-2 QUE SERA SERA
Ran blistering early splits 4-44 and 16-82 and won the heat in 29-89
Given any room out of the traps will explode to the front and be the one to catch

R8-1 KEYCARD
Drawn perfectly and is showing plenty of dash of late and will be in the finish
EW if we fluke it is a safe bet
EW

R8 ANY2 OR ROVER TRIFECTA
1-7
KEYCARD as mentioned
KID DAKOTA is a top chance of figuring in the finish as well
They might even Quinella/exacta the race as well
___________________________________________________________
OTHER BETS

RACE 7 BOXED QUINELLA
1 TORPEDO RUNNER wobbles out but has tremendous dash after that, at last a draw
4 SKULL MURPHY star dog but just dwelling at box rise but explodes when settles
7 OLLY ORCA has blistering speed and looks the leader

RACE 11 BOXED QUINELLA
1 LANGDON BALE drawn for a delightful run through
2 RUMFORD REASON just a terrific dog and always does its best

Hopefully that helps H31 I threw a few exotics bets to try and good luck
Also follow the MT79 tips as he is the greyhound guru these days

As for previews as Buggsy used to say "THATS ALL FOLKS."
Never say never but as Micky Jagger once sang "THIS COULD BE THE LAST TIME.."

PS VICGIRL good luck your dogs are all chances as well

BEST BETS RESULTS

QUE SERA SERA WINS $1-70
KEYCARD was too short at $!-60 to take ew
the exotics 1-7 in that race was a dud

Tipped 4 winners
our good thing QSS gets up BUT
The others x 2 bets supplied a $3-30 quinella BUT
pretty average nights work
hope H31 and the lads didnt burn thier fingers
How was the night dinner and entertainment H31 ?

yeah good night had by all socially betting wise a different story..........................

followed the first tip and duly followed thanks for coming, then the pom and a school kid followed the next two and got nothing I spent the rest of the night defending my own reptuataion and the great one's aswell (mal).

some did back a 11.70 winner interstate with one of them his only bet for the night the bugger.

also if any one noticed no.6 in the last go in from around $11 to $6.70 with 5 to go that was us with our last of our syndicate money the lot on the nose and it nearly got there.

Yes the MT79 post is vindicated by the strike rates of the trainers

Below are the stats for amounts of runners and amounts of wins and s/rate %
Number listed is position on trainers premiership ladder

1 MATCOTT .......1120...168....15-00%
2 RASMUSSEN......723....81.....11-00%
13 T MURRAY.......116....35.....30-17 %

This is why Ive been pumping up Murrays tryes tirelessly over the last couple of years
He is clearly the best trainer in SA and his dogs regularly win top grade events
Murray gets very good hounds from QLD as improves the standard in this state
MATCOTT trains the most winners but has a staggering amount of dogs going around
MATCOTTs s/rate of the first 100 trainers is in the bottom 50% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RASMUSSEN has a very poor strike rate for the number 2 listed trainer
Both 1+2 get a lot of very ordinary dogs over from interstate mainly and rarely get dogs winning in the top grades.

The top 2 trainers race their dogs 3 times a week, more than nearly every other trainer
listed in the top 100 on the premiership ladder.
If you look closely at the trainers who race dogs usually once a week you will see
most of those have higher strike rates than those who dont
SO WHY DO SOME TRAINERS CONTINUE TO RACE DOGS 3 TIMES A WEEK INCESSIVELY ????
Occasionally yes is OK, but all the time is a farce

So I agree with MT79 and Craig Cook needs to present the true FACTS about the winners.
Sorry Craig I usually defend your journalism but not on this topic.

8) rumour has it that
Skrat has done a Scapula and scratched from the Oaks Final - Que Sera Sera Limping and might be doubtful for the Oaks - She's Our Jewel very very sore and, most likely, will not be going back for the Final.

Apparently there were at least 3 major injuries at the Trials Tuesday Night.
if its true we have a serious problem for the grsa

well what a shame it is that we wont be seeing the best Oaks field if they are scratched due to injury.

ROO

the track has been in a diabolical state for quite a while, has the track responsible for these recent injuries......

i heard a few interstate visitors were not that impressed with the depth and cover of the track espec around the 700m boxes.
dogs that stuck to the rails were at a disadvantage due to 'ripples' leading into turn three and four.
uneven surface will throw a lot of muscle injuries hence we are seeing a lot of soft tissue 7 to 10 day injury time increasing
i hope the rumours are false but more importanly those dogs are not raced if they are carrying any sort of injury.
for eg on the 6th SEPTEMBER 2007 stewards report
5 dogs injured one race night
6 scratched before the meeeting.
"mangle park we have a problem'

Its no secret VGIRL
The track has been altered well before you came back to SA
When it was raining in the winter it was considered suspect
A lot of trainers/punters had voiced thier concerns at the time.
I didnt punt for several weeks until an improvement was made
I reckon its a clay surface or clay subsatnce in the track VGIRL ?

ROOBURGER has noted a fair share of injuries sustained this year.

SANDTOES> Where sand is driven up and embeds itself under the skin at the point where the skin overlaps the toenail.
The sand at Angle Park does seem to be very course though.

Thanks Geoff. Yeah i havent had this much trouble with them for years. The sand imbeds its self in the quick of the nail and becomes inflamed and very sore.
