I thought all you look at is tote screens and tv's and interstate overs and unders with virtually no idea of a horses real ability ;) ;)

U r right G, I've got NFI when it comes to judging horseflesh.
And yes u r right about the tote screens, tv's, O & U etc BUT
i think i Know a bit about most horses abilities that i bet on.

Yes Westburn Grant was a V.Good horse, was just agreeing with Bayman that i wouldn't put it in the Toughest pacer of all time category as TRBC suggested.

The toughest run to win the Interdominion i can recall would've been My Lightning Blue winning in NZ back in 198?. Came from last and sat 3 and 4 wide without cover for a long way and held them off at the finish. I think it was some kind of world record run at the time as well.

I agree they always pump up the NZ horses and Adam Hamilton is just as guilty as Mick Guerin.
What they continue to dismiss is the NZ drivers continually steer like absolute faggots
- They hand up at the drop of a hat and lack agression with the whip or sit in like the embarrassing Purdons. No wonder the late great Vinny used to have a ball when he went to the Shaky Isle, on and off the track by being agressive ;) ;)

Isn`t ray goble a master trainer of the trotters.I wonder how castirons trotter would go in that barn.Im not suggesting claire cant train, she has done a wonderful job with the horse but ray is a whiz when it comes to the trotters.
Any thoughts fellow forum readers!!

I think mr Whizzer was on the Whizzer. But good win regardless. If Gammel Dansk got up from the 50m mark it should not be racing in SA.

I also agree. Guerin and Hamilton are extemely bias to NZ horses. Reactor or Changeover will not win the final!

Wonder if Purdon will get a suspension, if he does then who will drive the reactor? Poor decision making by himself, should of went forward from the mobile..

The race saturday night was an after thought, gammel dansk was purchased with the aim of winning the cup (25,000 over 7,500) which it did after winning 7 races, you would be hard pressed to suggest a better job could have been done with it.

I heard there was some doubt whether the Perth offer was geniune(only heard didnt "Reed" it). Also i think there is a race during the Mildura carnival they would like to win before he goes.
