Reckon the Hawks arent that far away from it clicking and the trip away might be whats needed, they enjoy Subi winning both games their last year. Hawks seem to enjoy the bigger grounds like MCG, Aurora and Subi - their record at these grounds backs this up. Hawks have also had the 7 day break coming into this game against Freo off a 6 day break plus travel from GC. Freo have gone 2-7 off 6 day breaks the past 2 seasons. Ill be taking the Hawks here around the $1.85 price.
Roos travel to Catland and I cant see this game going any other way than a blow out, the fast paced game against Port at ES is going to be tough to recover from. Roos have conceeded an everage of 113 ppg in their last 3 games - put this up against the Cats averaging 118 ppg and Geelong will kick around 20 goals here, can the Roos get anywhere near this? Doubt it. Hale kicked 8 here last year to keep them close but unlikely to happen again. The line is -44.5 here and while big still worth taking on I reckon.
Adelaide go to Brisbane on a 6 day break and injury concerns. I am tempted to take Adelaide at the line of +20.5 here due to their good record at the ground and they arent playing as bad as some will make you think. Im going to stay out of this game though unless I can get a nice Total line as I reckon this will be a low scoring slog.
Sydney/WCE clash at ANZ in another interesting game, I cant get a line on either of these teams, injuries and final line ups will make the decision here, I reckon Sydney win but will most likely be a NO BET game unless again I can get a nice Total line for a low scoring game which it will be.
Melbourne come back from Perth to face the Dogs who were super impressive against the Crows. Melbourne have put up a good fight in their last 2 games on the scoreboard but looking at the key stats they were beaten well. Both Geelong and WCE had very poor days in front of the sticks. In the past 2 weeks Melbourne have had 35 scoring shots v their opposition 66. Says a lot. Cant take Melbourne here. Will look to take the line on here for the Dogs for a small investment.
Carlton should be breathing fire after their loss last week, Collingwood have a quick turnaround and injury concerns. Like Carlton to get it done here at the line of around 14. Im not convinced with Carlton but they should feast on a under prepared Collingwood here.
Richmond travel to AAMI to play Port. What type of performance are we going to get from Port? Port have injury concerns while Richmond have one of the better injury lists in the comp at the moment. Im leaning towards a punt on Richmond here who have been OK in both their road trips so far this season to Geelong and Sydney losing by under 4 goals. They won at AAMI last year and could give a good account here. Will give it more thought but at this stage Richmond at the line seems the go
Essendon are going to have a 3 day advantage against the Saints in Sundays twilight game and considering the line of +34 points and their performance against the Hawks Ill be on the Bombers. Sur ethe Saints have been great this year but are due for a let down, they may well still win but I reckon they might struggle to cover the line and happy to be on the Bombers in this spot.
Good luck all
Suggested bets
Hawks Win
Geelong Line
Bullies Line
Essendon Line
Carlton Line
Richmond Line
