Poor result for Blake.

Looking at the scores page makes you realise just how delayed the C9 broadcast is...

bloody disgraceful coverage of one of the years biggest sporting events.

I think we are all getting used to this bs by the television companies, really gives me the sh*ts as well!

Im thinking of a sMALl trade at 160 as he will win round 1 even if I have to lay off at 140 due to del potro in round 2

Favorite v Gonzales Aus open - Lost

Favorite V Mardy Fish San Jose Feb- Lost

Short priced Favorite v Lu Yen-Hsun Delray Beach Feb- LOST

SHort Priced Favorite v Danai Udomchoke Davis Cup March- LOST

I could go on... and on.... The bloke has barely won a title since 04. 5 years in the tennis wilderness.

He is so far off the pace now it is a joke. The way he talks himself up is a joke.

Has beaten one top 10 player since the middle of 06.

The bloke can now be classed as nothing more than a mid 30's slugger.

gonzales game was 1.8 - 2.2 and lost in 5 sets

mardy fish is very competitive on the tour and lleyton wouldn't have been short

very poor against lu - could have been an off day idk

davis cup is not on the atp tour

Are you a yank as you are unable to spell favoUrite correctly?? For tennis trading there arent many better players on the tour imo

Hey Missy. If I am from the USA..... should that mean I am unable to comment on Hewitt?

People in glass houses should not throw stones.

"Are you a yank as you are unable to spell favoUrite correctly?? For tennis trading there arent many better players on the tour imo

"Hai Guise"

kewl as a kewcumba.

Seriously. Defend your point not someone's spelling. That to me is childish.

Hewitt certainly wins the games v fellow bottom 50 players. But you can not deny his record since 2004 is exceptionally poor in all events.

Just so you can do a wee bit of homework on him/tennis I'll attach his profile from the atp website and it'd be in your best interest to have a peek at what you are placing your money on. http://www.atpworldtour.com/Tennis/Play ... ewitt.aspx

Oh Hai milbo welcome to SA Footy :)

I bet tennis In running mainly which you as an american (due to your laws) are unable to do. From experience Lleyton has won me a lot of money regardless of whether he wins because he never gives up, recently at queens he was 1.10 fav pre match lost the first set and went out to 2.20 he kept fighting and managed to win the match in 3 sets and Carlso had a very nice guaranteed profit at the start of the 3rd set. After watching players like your no2 in your country last night as the 17th seed (1.20 fav) put up a heroic performance to go out in 3 sets and show no fight or emotion at all I cannot see why you want to bag Lleyton.

We all know he is well past it but from the betting side of things he is still very competitive and a good player for multi bets. I have taken him tonight in multis at 1.15 and for a betting in the run point of view hope Ginepri wins a set so I can back Lleyton at a bigger price.

Good to see new people to the forum but please post your bets / selections so we can all benefit from your great knowledge and beat the bookies.

"Hai" Davey,

That's an interesting way to bet. Thanks for the lowdown on that. Blake certainly is a very mentally soft player... one who I would never toss my hard earned Greenbacks on.
I also have been lucky enough to make decent money out of Hewitt through 06 and 07 when his form was way below what he talked it up to be. Losses back then to players like Acasuso, Johansson, Goldstein, Daniel and a couple of beauties against Chela and Seppi while in OZ were really decent pay day. A couple of Benji's on a Aussie Lleyton loss has proved to be beneficial to myself also.

Sure he hangs around in matches like the one v Karlovic at the French but he doesn't have the weapons. Was lucky to find himself in an era where Pistol was just finishing up and Fed was only just hitting his straps.
I think it's his lack of respect, his lack of humility, his rude and arrogant manner which turns most people off him. There is no Ozzie I prefer to see lose more. And from what I read he constantly burns mates(law suits) down there which is a very Un Aus like thing to do.

Tonight there are some winners with decent odds- Gonzales in straight, Bondarenko, Becker, Vaidisova and the Stepanek odds look good. Mauresmo always plays well there and is paying enough to make a decent G or 2.

and some I wouldn't touch - Roddick, Benesova, Del Potro (til he shows some grass form)

Its the confederations cup that's got my interest right now. Not sure of your interest on football. Large margins to both Espania and Brazil over the USA and Sth Africa. Tomorrow night and Thursday. David Villa for first goal. Has had a lot of shots and is on target right now. Kaka for Brazil. Both sides will win easily and Spain unlikely with Reina in goal to concede. Brazil EVN right now... wouldn't look at the 10/11 Spain. Margins the only way to go.

Too fat. Too slow. Anyone that good that presents in that sort of condition to a grand slam event wont get far.

Sam Stosur in a struggle as well but looking far determined (and fit) than Dokic.
