I had $50 e/w on both, no point putting 'em in the blackbook if ya only gonna put a thrupence on 'em.

Nice little profette'.

Lets try and keep this thread going, it's definitely the way to go if ya can watch horses who fly home late, or get into strife and run on, can match up the formlines and hopefully find some winners!!

Yep, Johno both got up. R5 No. 6 and R6 No. 6

Possibly one for the Blackbook - I backed a thing called DANCING BENI in the last on the Gold Coast on Saturday. It flashed home from last to pip the Fave on the post. Twas only a class 2 but might be worth following.

A semi-blackbooker after it's last run was MR HORNBLOWER, racing today in the Ramornie Hcp (R6 at Grafton)

Positives -
This is a horse that beat Rightfully Yours & El Cambio a few months back & also not beaten far by Ortensia.
Inside draw - Said to be the best part of the track & suiting on-pacers. Not sure Mr Hornblower is an on-pacer but if he can slot in somewhere just off the pace on the fence i reckon he will take a nice rails run and be very hard to beat

Two queries - Stepping back in distance from 1300 to 1200m & how good is Battlefield? i'm banking on Battlefield & News Alert to be a little over-rated.

$11.00 fixed odds at the moment, is a very very good each way gamble in my opinion.

Not wrong Grubby. Ended up paying quite well too.
Mr hornblower 5th coming through on the inside. Inside gate & back in distance didn't help his cause, but at those odds i thought it was worth a try.

Anyone know what happened to a local horse called Currency Stash?

I used to follow it a bit and always ran well.

A couple from the coveted BLACKBOOK going around today at the 'Rat.

R2 Ballarat (12:15pm)
BLISTERED
Last two runs have been huge, and the form franked from all directions. TAB have made a D. HAYES runner DARBYTON in this race a special, so expect that one to start short. Should find nice odds for BLISTERED, Will probably start at EACH WAY odds, but i think it will win. Go each way just to be safe if you feel less adventurous. If you like the exotics 1-2-5 (The five comes from a different form line so is the query)

R5 Ballarat (2:00pm)
SOLAR EDITION
Eye-catching run last start.
Admittedly failed last try at Ballarat 2 runs back, but is a handy type when it comes to play.
Is a bit of an enigma, can run a blinder or a shocker. Should get nice odds, $8-10 so play EACH-WAY.
If he runs up to his best, will probably win.

I managed to land "Kiss The Cash" at Morphies yesterday (fixed at $41) so the account is looking a bit healthier now ... I've jumped on your BB's D&W so thank you and good luck, I'll try to add some BB's in the next few weeks, good luck all!!
