TW $6.50 on SB.
I can see him shooting 64/65 tonight.

Very enticing to take that, but i'm not convinced he has come back the same dominant player.
Should've waited til rd2 Grub, was always hard to see him going really low in rd1.

Don't know what the weather there is at present, but some astonishing scores being shot by players that were in contention....Ben Curtis goes from -5 to +5 with a second round 80; John Senden also sliding into trouble at +5 for the round after 5 holes to be +1 at present; Ian Poulter also +10 for his round after 16; Hunter Mahan +8 for his second round; overnight leader Angel Miguel Jimenez +4 for his round after 16 to slip back to -2.

Best completed rounds to date are Daniel Gaunt with a -3 to go to +3, and Ross Fisher with a -2 to sit -3 for the tournament at present, while Steve Marino's -2 currently has him in second on -5. Tiger yet to tee off at this stage.

Tom Watson's fairytale still has momentum at time of typing - outright leader at -6 after birdieing the first, and is still at $101. Mark Calcavecchia is holding together okay also, at +1 for the day, -2 for the tournament, after 7 holes

I'd think that even punters who didn't have a cent on him, wouldn't begrudge Watson this tournament IF it happens. Talk about sporting fairytales IF it comes off. Don't know his pre-tournament odds, but would guess it would 500/1+.

Matthew Goggin is nestled in a very nice position at this stage though. John Daly, while six off the pace at time of writing (pre-tee off), may possibly be the other fairytale in waiting....

16 year old manassero doesn't seem to be too fazed by the situation he's in at the moment.
He's 3 under for the day and even for the tournament in equal 8th place.

If someone can get in the clubhouse and set 1 or 2 under it could make things interesting.

Getting good now - Watson, Goggin and Westwood all tied at 3 under after 12 with a 2 stroke lead over rest of field.

Amazed that Channel 9 has suddenly decided to show final round.
Not that I'm complaining but it's a pleasant surprise.

4 hole playoff between Tom Watson and Stewart Cink.

Golf can certainly be cruel as Watson played as well as you can down the stretch and he's hit a great second into 18 that was just a smidge too hard and he couldn't get up and down.

Great effort by this bloke!

was well played but by the looks of his total profit he needed cink to make the playoff, then win the tournament with a very small profit on watson. So the story is all glamour but if watson pars the last i doubt the guy makes a cent on the tournament at all
