i did not save

Postby bayman » Sun Jul 02, 2006 8:03 pm

seeing i missed the 2.20 norwood i had a multi with the last side being west coast & as the crows were home & hosed early i thought of saving on wb but i was greedy & didn't & paid the penalty i had $400. 00 @ $3.61 (with curly) all i had to do was have $160.00 on wb to make it a slight profit or a bigger profit but greed is good except in cases like this !!!

Yeah missed the Multi which was dissappointing, got 5 of the 6 legs, someone once said to me never punt in a game involving Richmond, might have to follow that for the rest of the year. I backed went a Norwood/Crows double also that missed, however would have dropped more if they had offered points in Sturt and Dogs on Thursday...thanks JT & Curly you saved me cash.

The good news is I backed the Saints at the line yesterday, backed the crows at the line today then spread the profits from the crows onto the Bulldogs at +39.5 (an amazing $1.48) and at +25.5...so a good profitable weekend in the end after the above losses.

I backed Sydney at $1-33 v Fraudmantle
Short odds, big deal
But as MT79 always says "Every time you win you dont lose."

I have an enourmous bet on WB making the final 8
I took the $1-80 after rd1.

BAYMAN bad luck you fell at the last hurdle on your multi.
But as PUNK ROOSTER always says blame it on Grant Thomas!

As for my win on SS
As DUTCHY always says ca ching ca ching...

How The Betting Forum Works
As a moderator, should you offer something as a sure thing and it goes down by a half head, breaks down, or just fails miserably. and i've put the rent money on, expect to feel my wrath! Some simple rules to follow though....

1. We are not interested in what you- did back/would've backed/or were told to back, and forgot to tell us. We cannot travel back through time to get bets on, so all tips/what we've backed must be stated prior to the event.

Fair point Sheik.
I do believe though Dutchy put up most of his bets prior (his multi I know for sure).

I backed Centrals in the 2002 Grand Final to beat Sturt.
I hope that squares the ledger after bragging about Sydney
winning on the weekend.

Sheik I backed Leeds to beat Sunderland in the FA cup
i think that was in 1972..............................................

BUT your right we should stick to the PUNK ROOSTER
maxim on ' how the betting forum works '.

Thank you Mal, just a sore point with me on betting forums, nothing personal. Some time back I had The Aints 40+ v The Lions, as they do The Aints gave away a 56 point lead with 5 minutes to go to win by 38. Twas still shitty the next morning & the first thing I read on a betting forum was a bloke stating that he had 2k on the Aints 1-39 after the event.
I have'nt had a footy bet for a good three weeks, or I would have posted them Dutchy, I dont believe I was quoting below your post though.
I did lose on the soccer v Greece, Japan & Australia to go out of the 1st round with 0 points, & I posted one of those bets.

SHEIK

i actually agree with you, there is nothing worse
than losing and someone posts the winner after the event.

All of us should post tips preceding the event.
