Great to see young Lyle get his USPGA tour card this week after all his much publicised battles...onya lad

well Lyle and Lonard started well, both under par, Rumford around the mark but Leaney struggling.

Adding -

Goggin $51-
Coles $85-

well just got home from cricket club and looked at the scores and Coles ($85-) and Rumford ($60-) are one shot behind R Green!!!!!   LOnard is only 5 back also.

Great position to be in for some big results, will probably lay in the morning to g'tee at least a small profit...

[quote="PerceThePunter"]Folks,

Time for the Australian golf season to begin in earnest, and looks to be some value at this stage:

- Like Stephen Leaney at $31. Generally always around the mark, and has been in pretty reasonable form so far. John Senden is also great value at the $26 on offer, remembering he had a sound season in 2005-06, and has competed strongly on the US Tour this year.

- Suspect Adam Scott is a little short at the $6 on offer, he generally takes a tournament or two to find his feet back in Australia, so may steer clear at those odds.

- For some value in head to head multi: O'Hern/Pampling - O'Hern at $1.85/ Baddeley/Lonard - Lonard at $1.95/ Senden/Estes - Senden at $1.80/ Nathan Green/Richard Green - N. Green at $1.85; Total odds - $12.02 represents great value.

Well, folks, hope some punters took the lead at the $26 there!

Was looking alright for the multi, until Baddeley waited until the last day to hit some form.

Good get Perce, well done.

Coles gave my 85/1 a good run and I layed off after the 15th when he was into $4- and made a profit, but not the big profit that I wanted...I looked at the live betting on PUNITAB just before Senden lined up the birdie putt on the 18th and he was $1-72, a gift considering it was only a 3 footer so put a bit on that, he made the putt and the rest was history...so in the end made a small profit for the tourney.

It was interesting to note that Coles was $17-00 coming into the 18th 2 shots behind...he needed to hole his second shot from 150m to make a play off and PUNITAB rating him a 17/1 chance of doing this!!!! FFS thats a 200/1 shot you fools!!!!

Happy to admit that I was well off the mark with this one.
Was a chance to win the tournament and finished in the top 10.
Hope he gets back on track next year and regains his US tour card.

Good win by Senden and I know Jack Newton has been saying for some time that John Senden is one of the best ball strikers in World golf but unfortunately his putting usually lets him down.

Norman made the cut and Baddeley ended up in front of Lonard too so there were some interesting results.

Hafta keep an eye on the golf cos there's some big money to be had considering the number of entrants at the start of a tournament.

$1.72.... FFS that was a GIFT dutchy.... I got on Senden at $10 on betfair when he was 1 behind with 3 holes to play....
Punitab shit themselves when Scott moved to within one shot after birdieing the 12th.... he came into $2.50... yet there were 8 within 1 shot at that stage.... this bloke that posts the golf odds for sportsbet has NFI.

17/1 chance FFS thats a joke...
