That rants was nothing to do with your bet Spider as I think it was a good one if you got on as I bet she would already be paying less than half that now. Probably should have saved that rant for the 'All Sports' section
Like Pittsburgh at $1.60 to overcome Cincinatti (sorry Wedgie) even though it is Cincinatti's home game. Pittsburgh are a hardened playoff unit coming up against a team that hasn't been in the playoffs for 15 years.
For a smaller wager, I like the $6.85 the pick 4 winners is paying for New England-Pittsburgh-Carolina-Tampa Bay combination.

Checking the form at http://www.nfl.com , I like the Redskins, who are coming off a 5 game winnig streak. Jacksonville finished 12-4, while New England finished up 10-6, surely Jacksonville (at good odds) are worth having something on? I looked at these 2 multies-
Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Carolina & Tampa Bay @ $20
Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Carolina & Washington @ $26.
I know nothing about the NFL, but just read the summary for each team. I may just have an interest bet, especially since the Aussies got up- commiserations Bayman, but when I heard Smith declare with that small total, I had to jump on.

So much for my pick 4 (New England did beat Jacksonville 28-3 but Washington beat Tampa Bay 17-10) and for thinking that South Africa might win the cricket.

Also like Ponting at $4.00 to score the most runs for the VB series. He is in white hot form at the moment. Only problem I see is that there are no games for him at the MCG.

Also some real value in the Aus Open - particularly doubles. Took a few, including Nalbandian/Henin at $34, Nalbandian/Hingis at $151, Roddick/Henin at $34 and Federer/Davenport at $11. Tomas Berdych at $41 looked value at the time also.

Excellent opportunities to make some cash on head-to-head too...well worth a look.

Like the total match score in the NBA match between Golden State and Cleveland to be over 201 points @ $1.90.
Both are high scoring, bad defensive teams and for whatever reasons, Golden State have run up a heap of totals well over 200 for their home games (their home game today). Game starts in the next couple of hours though.

Really like Seattle at $1.50 to roll Carolina in the NFC title game in the NFL.

Forgot to mention that I also took Pittsburgh to win the Superbowl at the start of the season, a good 50/50 chance now (although when I declare my bets beforehand they generally don't come up) at 11/1.

Also manage a consolation prize in the soccer this morning when Ferdinand scored for Man U in the 1-0 over my boys at 34/1 ... Get some good odds on the soccer, often worth keeping an eye on guys who aren't regular scorers as they generally run at good odds!

The $41 on Hingis suddenly looks good value. I missed out on the 41, but got a fiver at $35, and getting a run for money at least, as with the Nalbandian/Hingis and Nalbandian/Henin doubles. Keeps life interesting! Apparently the Hingis move from opening at $51 into $4.50 represents real trouble for Sportsbet if she gets up. Amazingly skinny price on Federer throughout; while looks the standout still, any punter would have been sweating at the $1.52 at the start of the tournament, last night.

Adelaide 36ers were at $15 a few days ago, unsure of price now, but would also get a good run at that price, although the Kings look very strong once again.

Well, nothing to report in those, and have been quiet since! For some value in the first footy punt of the season, think Fremantle is value to win the NAB Cup at $15. Draw a below-strength West Coast in the first round (likely to be no Cousins at least, definitely no Gardiner), and likely to go near full strength to make a stand about underachieving since joining the competition. Skinny odds on all clubs, but thought this was value for a run for the money.

Will be putting 5 or 10 dollars on Bubba Watson to finish in the top 5 of the Chrysler Classic on the USPGA tour.
Who you may ask?
Lost in the playoff of the Australian Masters before Christmas to Robert Allenby after a barnstorming final round where he was hitting the ball untold distances and currently leads the US tour in driving distance and has already had one top 5 for the season.
No certainty but worth a few bucks I believe when you consider the Tiger Woods, Vijay Singhs and Ernie Els of the world are playing in the Accenture Matchplay championship on the same weekend.
