AG 10 NO 3 DIGNIFIED PLACE ( could lead this lot, with Marrakai storming home )

i had 2/4 ( i backed marrakai for a stack ) and backed dignified the place, so i ended up with a profit for the night ( even after getting done on the BG treble and Double ) i was stupid to think young hector will ever change his ways.

Well done on AG 10 Quinella i backed that too! and paid more than the exacta!!!!

thanks

well I back the Quinella on Centrebet, which uses the NSW TAB divvies as I thought I would be smart and bet in the bigger pool...only for it to pay $15-!!!! cost me $25- not betting on Punitab!!!!

worked out that there was only $38- on the winning Quinella how much can be claimed here???? list your claim!!

In the archives a few monthsback I mentioned YOUNG HECTOR as a dog with
immense talent.
MT79 said it was gunna be a superdog.
However as a very young dog it was raced 2 to 3 times a week
when the dog should have been learning.
Now it is struggling when it should have been peaking as a dog.
MT79 I know is very frustrated with its career now.
It ended up pulling up on the first turn a few times.

To race ordinary dogs 2-3 times a week is wrong
To race exceptional dogs 2-3 times a week is extremely DUMB

BOBN your thoughts on why they thrashed this talented dog

8) i,m back had a few days off after some horrible punting days.
the vet procedure has 2 stages.
1- straight after the race usually shows up muscle and limb problems.
2 - an hour for a re vet which will always give an injured dog up. and if they find no injury it will sometimes get a satisfactory trial ala riverlee gal.
vets don,t watch races as punters its all mechanical and clinical to them .
a few injury times tonight again. the fields and standard lately are very poor and only getting worse. my punting dollar has decreased by 60%

Ive been going since 1974.
the 70s, 80s were the boom times
good trainers
good dogs
good prizmoney
zillions off bookies
dogs raced once a week
and a great administration led by Howard Ashton

NOW its
average trainers
average dogs
poor prizemoney
2 bookies
too many dogs race twice a week
and an underperforming and overpaid administration

BLAME
TABs
casino
pokies
etc etc

NostraMALdamus saw the cracks in the early ninties.
Beat the grader was the start of it[allowing dogs to win a 2nd grade 5 in the same week]
Purchasing of interstate rejects, and the sudden downfall in the breeding industry
I said way back then in the early nineties the dogs would decimate.
17 years later we have our current situation.

Simply people like ROOBURGER are sick of fluctuating form, dogs getting
injured, poor fields etc and reduce turnover.

GOOD WORK MAL

once again you are on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!

PUNK/ROO

thanks for the insight into the dogs being vetted and injuries etc.

YOUNG HECTOR

this dog was on its way to bigger and better things when it landed here in SA.
its first run on a wednesday morning a few months was highly impressive, it really caught my attention.

as MAL has pointed out the dog did get over-raced which   the hell out of me. I was surprised at that because normally Mick Stewart looks after his dogs. the dog may have been over-raced because it was a syndicate dog from a syndicate based in WA and maybe they just want to see the dogs running, very similar to WHEELER.

ROO has mentioned he is punting less and I am investing less on SA dogs. My main day is wednesday, of which Ive won every wednesday thus far this year and will concentrate on that meeting. Hardly punt monday and thursday nights and occassionally punt on GAWLER.

I am a member of the syndicate that is based in WA, but theres a few of us in SA. We dont own young hector, but do have a few other dogs over here, A few of which are trained by Mick, but we make a point of not over racing dogs, as we realise that they are much better off being lightly raced, as we are interested in the breeding side of it. Obstetrix who showed a lot of ability and never got to race over longer distance has been retired due to an injury and the fact that we want to breed with her. She could of made a comeback to the track.
I would hate to think that we are thought of as overracing our dogs.....

THE MOLE

welcome aboard and thanks for your contribution, we look forward to many more.

in my opinion YOUNG HECTOR got over-raced, and is probably the only dog from his kennel that has been raced that way. I actually follow his dogs quite closely because he doesnt have too many at any time.

he probably has the best winners/runners strike rate in the state and would be very high up on that list australia wide.

I have been reading this forum for a while now, and it has helped me with quite a few nice collects! So thanks again. WAHOO racing is the syndicate that we own a few dogs through.... its a very good website and scott who runs it is very knowledgable and helpfull. Also own a few other dogs not through WAHOO
Not a big fan of tipping my own dogs, but i get a few tips from the trainers which are usually pretty reliable.....

cheers for that.

i have noticed with some of those dogs that end up here, that they have done racing in NSW then sent to WA.

IM assuming that the syndicates have trainers lined up in NSW to start with and then onto WA if they dont make it or go through to be outgraded??

with the SYNDICATE dogs, is it a one off payment? or do you need to keep paying for training, vet fees etc???

Yeah generally we buy them from NSW and then see how they go....... then over to WA or SA, or the other way around.
Quit a few dogs have been purchased this way and we have been pretty lucky with a few good pups...
In the syndicates we usually allow a kitty so vet bills, etc can be taken out...... and that seems to work very well

Hey guys what The Mole has failed to mention is that his pup Just a Weapon is meant to go very well at Cannington tonight ... race 4 no. 6 ...... Must admit that Doggy Stewart does overrace his dogs from time to time but the guy has a brilliant strikerate and is a genuine gun trainer ... He can only have up to 4 dogs at one time but he does very well from limited opportunites ..... He pours hours of work into his dogs as well as working a day job !! Has trained some very handy dogs of which crowd favourite Brute Bernard was the best making the adelaide cup final .....

And guys ill leave you with a tip .... keep following a dog called Grand Aria in Vic provincials , this dog has an awsome finishing burst and has had no luck ...future stayer in the making... Also keep your eyes peeled for Lasers Force who will venturing down to Horsham this tuesday all going well....
