In the last race he just whipped Mickey Quick Step 34 times in the last 200 metres for a nice 5th.

Then again maybe the dictionary should say refer to Stewards as they're the ones that keep letting him drive after numerous, various offences.

I was hoping someone else would comment 1st.. I had a good day on the punt yesterday except for 1 race....
Maybe i'm talking out of my pocket and no one else thought something fishy went on yesterday, but would be interested in anyone elses thoughts....

Dr Dre goes 3 wide (1st up for a while) and attacks at the 1000m mark while the stable mate Brother Moon gets onto his back and gets a lovely run into the race.. surprise surprise.. Dr Dre weakens into 4th spot while the horse he burnt (Zerrafoss) got beaten 1 - 2m and the stable mate to Dr Dre pulls out and goes 'bang' and wins the race..
It was a disgrace....
As for J Seal on Zerrafoss turning and looking for Dr Dre - i'd be suggesting that anyone who knows Jeremy buy him a pair of binoculars, so he can find the ant next time - because I thought it was disgraceful and he had every right to shake his head at the driving tactics involved...

Agree completely but cant say I was too surprised. Its not the 1st time its happened and wont be the last. Thats one of the problems competing against the bigger stables.

the following is the stewards report from race 5 on mondays meeting:

Stewards questioned drivers Peter Thomas (FIRE AND BRIMSTONE), Tony Calabria (DR DRE NZ), Paul Cavallaro (BROTHER MOON) and Jeremy Seal (ZERRAFOSS) and Peter Sergi trainer of DR DRE NZ and BROTHER MOON. Jeremy Seal (ZERAFOSS) stated that he had received pressure approaching the bell when DR DRE NZ, which had commenced a run three wide, lifting the tempo of the event, Thomas (FIRE AND BRIMSTONE) stated that when the pace eased at the 1200 metres he took the opportunity to move forward as FIRE AND BRIMSTONE performs best when able to take up a forward position in the field; Calabria stated that he went forward on instructions from his trainer as DR DRE NZ performs best when racing in a forward position as he felt that FIRE AND BRIMSTONE would surrender the head of the one out line; however, in the vicinity of the winning post, Thomas (FIRE AND BRIMSTONE) advised him he was not going to surrender the position and DR DRE NZ raced three wide for the remainder of the event. Cavallaro (BROTHER MOON), stated he had been given no instructions from trainer Peter Sergi in respect of the tactics he was to employ on the gelding in this event and it was left to his own initiative and when DR DRE NZ commenced a forward move at the 1100 metres, he elected to follow that gelding forward although it was sooner than he had anticipated in moving forward. Sergi confirmed the evidence given by Calabria and Cavallaro and stated that the stable had a moderate investment on BROTHER MOON.Stewards noted their explanations.

As everyone would expect things carry on and nothing is done,
Then these bigger stables will start complaining when stakemoney is low and you can't make money. Cos people stop betting, get out of the sport and theres no one left.
But If stewards let them do it, then they will keep doing it.

THE JUGGERNAUT
ENDEARED
PERFECT ????[BONUS ]
ZERRAFOS

All the above have lost in 2007

When innocent horses are slaughtered by what is seemingly AND alledgedly premeditated
driving tactics by other drivers of horses............
The perpetrators all have one thing in common thier horses missed a place.

Is also ironical but I was on all 4 horses above that got beaten.

I have talked to several trotting people who are scathing and incensed with Mondays race.

I will be more than interested in seeing how Dr Dre is driven next start.

Stewards need to squash these incidences to stop a repetition.
Ongoing instances WILL tarnish the industry.

Thanks for this Centreman - I hadn't read the stewards report yet... but once again - they should be not posting all clear and finding out the betting movements 1st - that horse (brother moon) was heavily supported on both Unitab and Supertab (not sure about NSW TAB - didn't check) as they circled and it straight away had me thinking something fishy was going on... but I already had my all ups and quaddie on with Zerrafoss on them...

When something like this happened about 18 months ago (not as blatant) in NSW - the Fitzpatrick boys.. Blake and Gavin were told the stewards thought they were "stable driving" and any repitition of it would result in severe penalties and suspensions - and it at least set a standard and made everyone aware it was being watched.... this effort by the stewards is a disgrace in my opinion!

got beaten 6m and Dr Dre 15m so it wasn't too bad more importantly fire and brimstone got beaten 17m giving them a defense that it probably should of let them go.

as for the stewards far worse instances have gone unpunished so anyone expecting the stewards to dish out any punishment in this case was dreaming. Horse have gone out on search and destroy missions and been beaten the length of the straight and no questions were asked.

It will be driven the same if the only danger to the stablemate is in front and they back the stablemate to win.

Correct Hooch!!!!!

Stable had 3 of the 7 runners one night including conte de cristo and D Harding still out smarted them and won the race on Presido.
The Boys went home sprewing. they copped it. :butthead: :butthead: :butthead:

Agree Robber that is the problem, the stewards until they lift there game the sport in this state is screwed!!!!
Your right though only reason they asked few questions was the roar on the lawn when horses came back to scale and some peoples comment.

Quote from stewards report
"Sergi confirmed the evidence given by Calabria and Cavallaro and stated that the stable had a moderate investment on BROTHER MOON"
It is amazing in stewards report No mention of any support for Dr Dre after stating it needed to be driven in the manner it did.
Funny bout that.   :( :(

i've watched the race & lets not beat about the bush, edited , & to say dr dre goes best like that is an insult to all & sundry as we all know that when it raced here before moving to nsw for a stint it WAS A SIT SPRINTER.

now i'm not talking through my pocket because i never had a bet yesterday (too busy at work...bloody school blazers etc)

as scd said the fitzpatrick brothers got a warning which obviously meant everyone over there so thats all that has to happen here, warn all participants & when the first one does it ping them all including the winner & ping them harshly & it wont happen again

i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Lads,

Ive edited the above comments, while we encourage good vigirous discussion there is a point where we have to be very very careful otherwise this site wont be around for long....while I know we mostly talk like we would at the pub, trots or footy amongst mates, these boards are viewed by anyone around the world so just have to not cross the line.

play on....cheers
