I did hear about that. Nice effort. Was there any logic behind the horses or just a random stab?

I had big win yesterday by accident...

MR5 I had trif on 3,4,10... 10 gets scratched so I get the missus to to put on 1,3,4 trif, shes stuffs it and goes 1,3,6 for $10. Bit dissapointed cos 4 - Definitely Ready - was hot favuorite $1.60, couldnt lose, well it dies while leading with 150 to go, finishes 4th and the stuffed up trif gets up and wins me a cool $955

Shes filling out all my betting cards from now on :D

Sorry MAY-Z but you cant win a Melbourne Cup by sitting at the back of the field.

I know Master gets back but trying to round 22 other horses from the final bend on just isnt gonna happen.

Dare say its based on your average sized bet or turnover I reckon?

Ive been arbing both accounts thru the carnival for $100-$200 a time, had a $750 bet with them on Tuesday cause I could back with them at $2.05 and LAY on Betfair for $1.93 (made a profit of $30 no matter the result) - I dont usually bet that amount on horses straight out

would be worth an email to ask though

Email sent:

To whom it may concern,

I have just a quick question.

I am wondering how it was determined who gets how much 'compensation' via way of free bets re the Melbourne Cup 'inconveniences' caused on Tuesday.

I have been talking to my friends and it seems that we all received varying amounts of compensation/free bets. Some of us received $10, some $25 and one even $150 ??

Look forward to your reply.

Thankyou
(A Mum)

Will they reply...lol

How quick was this !!!
Got a reply already and with a bonus  (Thanks for the suggestion Dutchy! lol) 8)

Hi A Mum,

The free bets were given out according to your average bet size which yours is $2.07 so we rounded it up to $10. I have given you another $20 free bet.

I trust this helps and if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

PS: You all now know I'm the last of the big spenders nothing like a $2-07 average bet!!!

Is this really MAY-Z posting? Your grammar isnt up to its usual high standard.
I would have thought that seeing his past 2-3 rides that his connections would hav wanted him to be ridden a little closer to midfield...If I wasnt prepared to lose I wouldnt bet at all- thats not the issue. Just dont think the ride gave him the best chance of winning. End of story.
