port pirie friday night

first race 5.30pm
last race 8.30pm

if they are doing this for revenue in pubs etc fair enough, but if that isn't the reason, does anyone know what the reason would be ?
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Maybe because there is a Canterbury meeting on, they would have been pushed onto Sky 2. With the earlier start/finish, they might still stay on Sky 1 and finish before Perth starts????

yeah, pretty much right as mentioned on the high rating 5rph harness show today that both canterbury & moonee valley gallops are on & this is the reason, i didn't know they were on but it makes sense now

PIRIE
Wet track
Heeps of first uppers as they resume racing at Pirie
I will ask for the umpteenth time, why do they have a break at Pirie ?
With Gawler in hibernation , should Pirie be having a break when they do ?

SKY2
ALL Pirie races on SKY 2

SAT 7/11 GDP
Going for an unprecented 5 losing tips in a row
Need a confidence booster
Been patient but found a good thing

R5-1 DIXIE CHICK DREAMA
Likely leader and almost certain winner

NSW DRIVING TACTICS CHANGES
I have heard that all connections must inform stewards 45 minutes prior to the start of the race
The change in driving tactics will be submitted onto the thier website
The public will know approximately 40 minutes prior to the race
The irony of it all ...

perhaps the race caller can let the punters know a race in advance,

but if you punt today and have no computer then its an uphill battle for you to be winning

Both paid well below the odds needed, but both won which is more important

Trots transferred fom tonight to Tuesday night
I reckon its becoz the trots peoples were not keen on being relgated to SKY2 tonight

Anybody know exactly why ?
And was it really worth shifting the dateslot ?
Will turnover TAB actually increase ?

I dont have an opinion

Tonight there is 3 night race meetings (Mooney Valley,Canterbury and Sunshine Coast) so I think it would just get "lost" amongst them and the other harness meetings.....good call I think. other thing they could think about is a twilight friday meeting starting at 2:30 and finsh by 6:00

that's about right & the fact that turnover is likely to be higher on tuesday than tonight is another main reason, there will be more & more friday night racing so if we can get in first now on a tuesday night before others follow suit we'll get to be one of the better meetings than an also ran meeting which happens now on friday nights

as for mals question of 'will turnover increase' ? well it would most certainly be decreased if they were run tonight, now you know why i gave you this friday night off ;)

GLOBE DERBY 13/11

R6-8 COURAGEOUS BEN
Was gunna tip COURAGEOUS BEN as a good PLACE bet, but now a no 3rd divi race
Perhaps mix and match some trifectas with it as the anchor to win and place
TRIFECTAS

R8-2 LETMEADAM
Drawn well, as should find the pegs in front of the pole horse
So will be in the firing line somewhere in the run
PLACE
